Do you want to see some of the worst officiating?

and not contact.

The Colts are the best flag football team ever assembled, nobody's doubting that.

Yep, too damn bad, isnt it? Ya should have punted. :overhead:

Belichick is afraid of Manning to the point of him experiencing irrational decision making. But they are just a flag football team. The team that has owned the Pats over the last few years including great comebacks against the hopelessly SOFT and SLOW Pats defense. Even Peytons brother OWNS the Pats.

See ya in the dome.... dont mug the WRs!

You Pats fans are a joke -

BirdBrady & RedTodd - I'd say you are losing a lot of respect around here, but I'm not sure you have any to begin with. You'd be ashamed to be a Colts fan right now?? Why? Because we have the best QB in the game? The best record in the game? 5-straight come-from-behind victories, including a sweet win over our rival Patriots? Because we are 2 wins away from breaking NE's regular season win mark? Because we've already locked up our division, and essentially home field advantage throughout the playoffs??

Ya, must suck to be a Colts fan

Pats fans are upset because the Colts got 2 questionable PI calls...and because of these 2 calls, the league is fixed. Because the Colts are the only team in the NFL who benefit from questionable calls, their fans should realize what a fraud the team is in reality. This is a .500 team at best without those two blown calls.

It should be noted, that neither call factored into the winning score.

...man, if only Peyton and the Colts were involved in the Tuck Rule game vs. the Raiders and Spygate, this would have all been so perfect.

At least Manning isn't always waving at the Ref's to throw a flag like Brady.

You really should start watching the Colts games.

Hopefully there is a rematch. That is assuming the Colts can get by the 1st round of the playoffs. They have kind of had a chronic problem with that in the past. ;)

Like it or not that pass interference is the right call even if 90% the time something like that goes unnoticed.

Garcon goes to reach up for the ball and the DB holds his arm down by the wrist. Look at the replay.

Would that have been let go most of the time? Yeah, probably but to the letter of the rules its a penalty.

Letter of the rules disagrees with you. From the NFL.

Actions that do not constitute offensive pass interference include but are not limited to:

( a ) Incidental contact by a receiver’s hands, arms, or body when both players are competing for the ball or neither player is looking for the ball.

( b ) Inadvertent touching of feet when both players are playing the ball or neither player is playing the ball.

( c ) Contact that would normally be considered pass interference, but the ball is clearly uncatchable by involved players.

( c ) clearly applies in this situation. Since the defender had "position" and was looking back for the ball, I would strongly argue that ( a ) and ( b ) apply, too.

Google "Terrible PI call" to see it again, if you must.

I watched it again and yes c does apply here - no way was Garcon getting to that ball. Ref is mostly likely zeroed in on the arm fighting and sees the db push Garcons hand down and throws the flag. Probably need to have 1 ref specifically watch for catchable/uncatchable because its hard for a ref that is looking closely at the arm contact to also determine that.

We are 100% sure to get by the 1st round of the playoffs, as it would appear we should have a bye with a couple more wins. :)

God awful gifts to the Colts.

They just a free 43 yards off one of the worst pass interference calls I have ever seen.

They did not count a TD by Andre Johnson in the end zone which he obvious had possession (TD became a FG).

They called a BS unnecessary roughness on the 1st Manning INT that made the Texans get the ball on the 40 instead of the 10 (got a FG instead of a possible TD).

That 43 yard Pass Interference call was the wrost though. Absolutely embarrassing and the refs should be fired.

I was at this game. I am not a fan of either the Colts or the Texans. I went with my father-in-law and wife, while visiting Texas for Thanksgiving. First, let me say Reliant is a very cool stadium. The game was exciting and the fans were hardcore, but not obnoxious.

Now, in regards to the officiating...

The pass interence call was definitely bullcrap. I don't know how that call was made.

The Andre Johnson TD was NOT a TD. He did not maintain possession of the ball all the way to the ground.

The unnecessary roughness call on Manning was indeed unnecessary roughness, as defined by the current rules. Manning was struck on the head and that is unnecessary roughness. It's not open to interpretation in any way.

Also, just a quick comment about Texas in general... Austin is a great city with cool little local eateries and a great vibe. The people were generally nice and the city was clean and well kept. We stayed at the Driskill on 6th and Congress. The drive from Houston was pretty and we had some good BBQ in ELgin. Houston is a complete craphole. The in-laws live in Kingwood, which completely blows. Not a single bar or any restaurants that aren't major chains. Downtown Houston was dirty and sucked. Other than the football game, I'd just assume stay inside and pretend I was not in Houston.

All in all I'm thrilled to be heading back to beautiful So Cal right now! I'm actually typing this in George Bush Airport (what a crappy name for an Airport).

It is hard to disagree with anything you have mentioned here.

One good thing in Houston is the strip joints. :shocking:

OK now KMBryant you are saying you don't respect my opinion but you are agreeing with it? The Pass Interference ruined the game yesterday. The same thing happened against the Patriots. The Colts would not have come back without that call.

KM at least you watched the game.

MZ and Road Lizard have both gone on record as saying they didn't see the play. How can anyone respect that opinion? You are going to come here and argue a point about something you have not seen? That's crazy.

Football 101: One call does not decide a game.

Houston choked....again.

New England mismanaged the clock....and Manning made them pay.

Every week there are questionable calls....but they are never the reason a team wins or loses a game. At the end of the day, the better teams usually prevail.

The Colts are as much inside your head as they are BB's.

I agree with everything you are said. However I honestly believe the NFL has mandated that their refs call pass interference and help the Colts win. That's how bad the calls are that's how suspect it is.

I don't know how anybody could watch that game yesterday and actually enjoy it after the pass interference. Terrible.

Wait a second. You think the NFL has mandated that the refs call PI to help the Colts win....and you think this because of two....TWO....FOCKING TWO questionable pass interference calls. Two? Really?

So from the hundreds of offensive plays the Colts have run this year, there's an obvious conspiracy because of two blown calls.

And I don't know how you can say you didn't enjoy the game after the PI call, but still agree with everything I said earlier. You contradict yourself.

Houston choked....they had the Colts down 14-0, and they didn't go for the jugular. Schaub threw a pick 6....and fumbled inside his own territory....that's why they lost....not because of a bad PI call.

I only agreed with the PI call - and that did not "ruin" the game. If i remember correctly, it was on a 2nd down play??? So it's not even like the Colts went from giving up the ball to scoring. And if I remember correctly, Manning still made a sick fade pass to Wayne to cap off that drive.

The other calls you (or whoever it was, probably RedTodd) were b!tching at have no merit whatsoever. Not even a grey area in the rules, so I don't know how someone can call that the worst officiating they've seen. And the PI call against the Pats I thought was legit. If they didn't call PI, they absolutely should have at least gotten the DB for DEF holding prior to Manning throwing the pass. Go back and look, the dude has a hold of Collie's jersey at least 15 yards past the line of scrimmage.

AJ needed to hold on to the ball - we knew that would not be a TD

The PI call was bogus & made a HUGE difference in the game.

Colt's always get bogus PI calls. Wouldn't have a SB without it. It's part of Manning's media ball washing. Probably why BB went for it on 4th and 2... who can stop Manning with 2 minutes left and the zebras in their back pockets?

Yea the zebras were in our back pocket against the Chargers last year in the playoffs when we got called for a phantom PI call against Chris Chambers...that DIRECTLY cost us the game. It was on 4th and 5 late in the 4th quarter, ball not even close to Chambers, minimal contact just like the HOU call, and we lose the game cause of it.
