I realize you are an incredible homer, but I thought you had some small chance to be objective about players....

It's shiat like this that makes you the blind homer - and not worth the effort. Cheers.

And then proceeded to cover his ass by yelling at Miles Austin for nor getting out of bounds on the last play. So not only did he run a terrible two minute drill, he pointed the finger at a teammate because he knew the cameras would be on him.

Embarrasing.

Yea, a qb has never gotten onto a lineman for missing a block, a rb for going the wrong way or a wr for running the wrong route. this particular 2-minute drill didn't go so well - it happens. but, on more than one occassion, romo has had pretty good success running it and getting the boys in position for score late this year.

Nice 17 point effort against the redskins.

Wasn't a pretty win, but it didn't 'have to be. Need to do a rundown of the ugly wins the Iggs have this year? Uh, Chicago and these same Skins both come to mind. Hell, thank gosh you got 2 stupid ass picks from Campbell or you would of lost to them at home a few weeks back.

I'm not really a homer in this case... I like Romo a lot.... But your "quality wins" critieria to say Romo > Rodgers was just plain silly and I laid it out for you pretty succinctly ....

The fact that Romo threw two whole TD passes against PHI and NO does not make him a better QB than Rodgers who completely lit up Minn and Pitt and scored way more than enough points to win all of those games (but the defense was atrocious)....

It's just a bad argument....

I could make a much, much better argument for Romo myself than the "quality wins" argument..... sounds like something Pimp or one of his aliases would say.....

Cheers :dunno:

You should prolly go back and re-read the entire passage I wrote. No where in it do I say Romo is > than Rodgers. The observation is what it is, Rodgers has really no quality wins on his resume this year - certainly not to the degree Romo does. Does that make Romo better? No - again, re-read it. By the same token, and I agree, a loss does not mean the qb blew it. We lost to NY and SD this month and Romo was fantastic (over 100 qb rating) - wasn't his fault we lost.

I said I'd take Romo for my own reasons - made it pretty succinctly clear, so I thought, that both were legit, big time qbs.

In a long, heated debate between normal people and Pimpdaddy's 13 aliases, a huge Cowboy fan coming in saying I'll take Romo over Rodgers (exactly what you said) and pointing out a "quality wins" critieria that favors his guy..... could be construed as you -- as a huge Dallas Cowboy fan entering a heated debate -- having the feeling that Romo > Rodgers.....

I'm sorry if I misread that.... pretty huge leap by me :P

I also pointed out, as is obvioius, Rodgers beat Romo. I'd say that is a huge feather in his cap - but also stated not sure if others considered it a big win. But good, glad you see the difference.

Rodgers 12-23 for 237 and 1 TD in a little over 2 1/2 quarters of work (left with 5 mins remaining in 3rd quarter). Romo 25/38 for 286, 1 TD and 1 Int in a whole game. Rodgers 16 FF pts in 2 1/2 quarters. Romo 16 FF pts in 4 quarters.

Rodgers > Romo

(and it ain't even close)

Against the same Seahawks, this year - Romo: 21/36, 256, 3 tds, no picks, 108.1 qb rating. But whatever, you are one of "those".

I don't think you can use this week as a reason (I think you need to look at the body of work)...

First, whenever you have 5 rushing touchdowns in a blowout win, there's ample opportunity for short TD passes (Favre would have definitely cashed in).... so Rodgers day could have had a much, much better day....

Second, Romo played very well, I thought

If by one of "those" you mean someone who realizes that Rodgers, while being younger, less experienced and arguably having an inferior team around him, is a better QB than Tony Romo, then, yes, I am one of "those".

I also thought Romo played well, and will admit his play is a big part of why the Cowboys are in the playoffs and looking like a team that might make some noise there. The Cowboys defense looks so good in part because Romo has cut down on the turnovers and stopped putting them in bad position time after time. However, looking at the body of work, Rodgers wins in every statistical category except Yards Per Attemp this far in his career and is 2 1/2 years younger than Romo. Last year he succeeded despite the shadow of Farve looming over him. Again, we're talking about a guy with 23 less starts than Romo and still that much younger.

Again: Manning, Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Roethlisberger, Rivers, Manning (Eli) and Schaub are all guys I would look at starting my team around BEFORE Romo if I were an NFL GM. McNabb and Palmer might make that list as well.

Both are legit, and both have really good numbers. To suggest one or the other is better than the other, to the point of not even being close is just stupid. But again, whatever.

189 yards and 1 Td for erin

I think that game was pretty close.

Added a rushing TD too...and it was 17-0 until the garbage time TD...not really that close.

I have dealt with it. Basically I have stated my opinion and others have stated theirs........the true intellectuals here said the guys are basically equal. I will let this get sorted out in the playoffs

You have dealt with it?

Then why do you insist on thinking most people would think Romo is better?

And I guess you don't consider yourself or your other alias's to be intellectuals since you have argued they are not equal either.

And no...most still think Rodgers is better. And you won't deal with it...you never will...you will still be the blind Dallas homer you have always been, no matter what name you post under.
