UW72 0 Posted April 2, 2010 I took over a rather bad team during last season and ended up with the 1.01 pick in the veterans draft. Standard scoring, non PPR, start 1 QB / 1-2 RB / 2-3 WR / 1 TE / 1 k / 1 DEF my keepers are: Kyle Orton - QB - Broncos Kenny Britt - WR - Titans Antonyo Bryant - WR - Bengals Johnny Knox - WR - Bears Vernon Davis - TE - 49ers Available players are: Ronnie Brown - RB - Dolphins Willie Parker - RB - Steelers Clinton Portis - RB - Redskins Correl Buckhalter - RB - Broncos Julius Jones - RB - Seahawks Steve Smith - WR - Panthers Santonio Holmes - WR - Steelers Dwayne Bowe - WR - Chiefs Wes Welker - WR - Patriots Who would you take? and why? keep in mind it is a 16 team league... Thanks for your help
Yippie Skippy 0 Posted April 5, 2010 I would pick Bowe because I think that he will score the most fantasy points in his career from this point forward in your league. I like his potential and I see his ceiling higher than the others. Of course I like Holmes but I think that the Steelers will get back to running the ball more and they have plenty of other options on offense. And I joined the never draft a Rat's RB club years ago so I would stay away from FWParker.
nerf chucker 0 Posted April 8, 2010 Well you could certainly use a running back, but I can't justify picking up a 29, 30 or 32 yr-old RB to rebuild a dynasty team. Personally I'd take Bowe. He'll be 26 years old when the season starts, he'll have an offensive coordinator who is pro-pass, and the writing is on the wall that KC will be adding some offensive linemen through the draft to allow Cassel more throwing time. My second choice would be Steve Smith, but I'm passing on him since he's 5 years older than Bowe and likely on the decline. Welker's knee injury concerns me. Holmes would be a possibility, but he's not the clear #1 WR on the Giants and the dude can't seem to keep out of legal trouble. Good Luck.
worm 34 Posted May 8, 2010 ryan matthews I would say this too. He has the most upside of any RB available.
