 Even if he doesn't get it, it was a GREAT game, Gala is definitely back baby!!!! If the Tigers' offense can break out of this funk they're in, the Tiger will be beastly.

Definitely. I mean, how....just HOW the fuckk do you blow a call in such a huge situation that badly?!?!? Even if it was close, you HAVE to give him the out, but it wasn't close, it was by an entire step. I seriously can't believe what i just saw.

CAN the MLB go back and change that? I know they can change hits to errors and vise versa. Funny thing is, the same ump blew a really close call the previous inning with Damon calling him safe when he was out by about an inch. Still, this wasn't even CLOSE.

Austin had the catch of the year too, that will be downplayed. The focking ump ruined everything.

As far as EVERYONE is concerned, Gala just threw a perfect game is officially back. That is the good news.

I still cant believe it. Im shocked still. I feel so bad for galaraga to pitch such a great game only to be blow by a focking call a rec league umpire should be able to make. OMFG thats just ridiculous.

Wow.

The only thing I can think of is Galaraga sno-coned it then snapped it up. When he did that, the ball came out of his glove for a split second. Had to be the reason he was called safe. The throw and tag beat the runner by a good step. Not even close.

I saw Denard Span make a sno-cone catch, take a few steps steps, then lose the ball when he went to throw it back into the infield. They ruled he never had "possession" of the ball...or some sh!t like that.

Regardless. Bullsh!t call. You don't make that call in that situation.

Jim Joyce is going to need an escort to get out of Detroit

Fock that, he might as well find a priest and repent.

First off, he didn't.

Secondly, like you said, you still don't make that call on the last focking out of a focking perfect game.

Who cares, perfect games have become so common place they aren't cool anymore. This blown play will go down in history even more than his perfect game.

I only caught the updates a it was happening on espn. The sad part is the focked up call will completely trump the gem of a game that was pitched. It will completely trump the kickass play the center fielder made. All will be forgotten except the play....focked up man....

IF IF IF Jim faggggot focking Joyce says he bobbled the ball then he should at least get a no-hitter out of the deal right?

Thats true. They can still change the scoring ruling if it was a bobble.

So true, thats the first thing I thought. Im pretty sure I would have throw my glove at that fatfocks face. Focker. That might be the only chance he ever gets for a perfect game and thats a pretty big fockin deal.

If im Galarraga, I still tell everyone I pitched a perfect game, fock that.

Jim Joyce just became the most famous umpire in baseball. That is NEVER a good thing.

If I'm Gala, you're gonna have to physically restrain me. People charge the mound, well in that situation the mound is charging. Seriously, you CANT miss that call. You can't miss that call in a single A spring training game. That's the worst call I've seen in my 15 years watching professional sports.

also, what kinda ###### tries to beat the throw to first? You hit a bitchball and hustle it out? I'm all for effort, but at that point just trot it out and let the guy have his day.

Wow, no that would still be a perfect game, it would go down as an error, like i said they can reverse hits/errors.

If this play ends up being the play that makes the MLB enforce instant replay, then i guess that is more important than a perfect game.

Seriously, that is the most ridiculous call i have ever seen in sports history if you consider the situation.

It would not be a perfect game with an error. Errors ruin perfect games just like walks do. perfect means 27 up 27 down.

Uhm.....no. Fock that. And I'm sure Galaraga....and any other pro would agree. You don't give anyone anything. You don't concede sh!t.

Don Dekinger disagrees.

If this fock up leads to expanded instant replay, Jim Joyce's name will be even further destroyed...not only ruining a perfect game, but leading to a push for an unnecessary lengthening of already too long games. God damn it.

Don Dekinger disagrees.

This. I won't call this the worst call ever, or the last 30 years, because it didn't have a major impact on a playoff game, let alone a World Series game like the Dekinger call.

Agreed. Never give give up. If he wants the out, he's go to put me out. He happened to have made the play...bad call.

So the same people that don't steal or go first-to-third or anything like that when up a few runs late believe you don't concede sh!t? Riiiiiiiight. Be all old school and cool if you want, it's a b!tch move in that situation.

He was out anyway, and this rests on the ump, but it's still a joke.

We can all agree on one thing...Ken Griffey Jr picked the wrong night to retire.

And the phrase you will be hearing a lot for the next few days...

Twenty-eight up, twenty-eight down.

That's true too, i am sure it was just his instincts. When he was called safe, he looked shocked and had the look of "wtf did i just do?" The whole Indians bench was shocked too.

Also, i am sure most non-Tiger fans don't know much about Gala. He is seriously the nicest guy and a class act, as you can tell by his reaction. He had a awesome rookie year with 13 wins and a 3.73 ERA, and had a bad sophomore slump last year and got sent back. He pitched really well in Toledo, got sent back up and obviously appears to be back. So don't think this was just a total fluke game, Gala has HUGE potential.

The kid hit a perfect game. Period.

Yep. The best he can hope for is the most anti-climatic no-hitter in the history of MLB.

And looking at another replay....the view from second base....Galaraga caught the ball at the end of his webbing. Not quite a sno-cone, but close enough to the end of the glove that he kinda flipped it deeper into his glove. Not that any of us are ballplayers, but we've all had catches like that, and it's just instinctual to flip it into your glove more....near your palm, in order to secure it. Looks like that's what happened. Thing is, it's pretty obvious Galaraga had the ball. He didn't bobble it at all. It didn't come out of his glove. He just repositioned it inside his glove after he caught it.

Horrible, horrible call.

Is it just me, or are MLB umps especially awful this year? Like, they've always been c0cksuckers....but this year they seem more belligerent and blind than ever before.
