Waht are you guys doing with the Jackson/ Spiller/ Lynch trio?

Recommended Posts

Only reason i ask is Fred Jackson and Lynch are both on waivers in my 12 man league.....

Spiller has looked fantastic, but according to roto:

Fred Jackson returned to the practice field Tuesday after having the heavy cast removed from his left forearm.

Joined by Marshawn Lynch, Jackson was "limited" in catching passes with only a wrap on his broken left hand. It's worth noting that F-Jax did take the first rep with the first-team offense. Lynch "looked to be moving well" on his sprained ankle. With a week and a half to go before the regular season, both backs are on track to be ready for the Dolphins in Week 1. F-Jax is still the best bet to handle early-down duties, and the preseason injury has turned him into a fantasy bargain.

Thoughts?

I'm personally staying away. I had enough of a headache last year when it was just a duet. With that being said neither player should be on waivers this early in the year.

RBBC + Bills = Fantasy Duds

Spiller will go off a few games, but he will be too inconsistent to start regularly.

 although I think the kid from Coe College will have the most fantasy value of the 3.

The Bills spent a high 1st round pick on Spiller and, at this point, he is the only substantial playmaker they have. He will get his 15+ touches every week rushing and receiving and could play himself into an even larger role.

Jackson proved himself to be a very solid player last year and will get his 10-12 touches with an occasional spike game.

I think the Bills would love to be rid of Lynch at this point, but he was too big of an investment to simply cut.

just read this as per rotoworld :

Coach Chan Gailey acknowledged Tuesday that Fred Jackson will be "limited early in the year" as he recovers from a fractured hand.

and rotoworlds take on it: Rookie C.J. Spiller deserves a significant role and Marshawn Lynch is back from an ankle sprain, so there's no reason to rush back Jackson. Our concern, however, is with the rising ADP of Spiller and the swift fall of Jackson's. Spiller is now consistently being drafted in the early fifth round, while Jackson is falling to the eighth and ninth. Jackson is the better bet for TDs, and may not finish with many fewer rushing yards despite the injury.

great news for spiller!

I can see it now. With Steve Slaton's turf toe, the Texans trade a 4th rounder for Lynch just so Kubiak can fock over Foster owners everywhere.

People in my league avoided the Buff RB situation--Spiller fell all the way to pick 9.10 (12 team redraft, .5 PPR). I took Jackson w/ pick 13.05 as bench filler. I'm guessing those saying Spiller will wind up as the feature back probably have it right. In any event, I'll hold onto Jackson until his hand is completely healed unless something really desirable pops up on the waiver wire.

I've got Spiller, and I wouldn't mind getting Jackson. But the assmeg that has him wants Michael Turner for Jackson and Ginn.

What a dumbass. :bench:

Now that's funny!
