Borat33 17 Posted September 8, 2010 6th spot drafted this past Sat. We start 1 QB, 2 wr, 2 RB, 1 flex, 1K, 1D - TE's are receivers. QB - Eli, Cutler, Favre (we are allowed 1 flex bench spot at any position, took extra QB) RB - Gore, Ronnie Brown, Bradshaw, Anthony Dixon WR - Megatron, Roddy White, Nicks, Vernon Davis D - Packers, Panthers K - Akers, dont remember the other one. I think it is a solid team. Great wr's and some decent rb's.
MDC 7,426 Posted September 8, 2010 It went OK except for my terrible QB situation. On the plus side, my league runs with 2 RBs, 2 WR, and 2 RB/WR flex players - I think I have two very good starting RBs and a ton of depth at that position. I'm not wild about my #2 wideout options after Roddy White - that's a spot I may try to shore up via trade. My roster is in my sig, let me know what you think. How'd you do? da_mane_man 1 Posted September 8, 2010 i am drafting out of the 6th spot tonight. i am definitely NOT taking a RB there. it's either andre johnson or aaron rodgers for me. it is a ppr. i can't decide right now if i want to take AJ and then a qb in the 2nd or 3rd ( i am NOT rolling with a qb outside the top 4. i don't trust schaub's health, i hate romo and i don't trust rivers' cast or o-line as much) or rodgers in the first then receivers at 2 and 3. we're drafting on yahoo and there's a TON of good RBs in the middle rounds. NateBurleson81 0 Posted September 8, 2010 MDC, we bantered a bit about the 6th spot, curious how yours went. Anyone else...just curious. I drafted 6th in a 10 team redraft, I hated it. 18 man roster. Start 1 QB, 2 RB/WR, 1 flex,1 TE,K,D/ST. PPR. But here's how my draft went 1-ARodg 2-Mendenhall 3-Calvin Johnson 4-Finley 5-Addai 6-Bowe 7-Ward 8-Harrison 9-Kolb 10-Maclin 11-Slaton You get the idea.... NAn 39 Posted September 8, 2010 i am definitely NOT taking a RB there. it's either andre johnson or aaron rodgers for me. Funny you should post this as I actually went Rodgers at 6th spot; much to surprise of many in the league, overall and particularly for me as I just about NEVAH grab a qb early. What it came down to is it happened as I expected: top4 guys and Gore with a Niner homer ahead of me. 1. Just didn't like the RB options left there 2. Strongly considered AJ, but figure I could get solid WR option in 2nd (think I did) 3. Felt good about being able to get solid RB options in rnds 4-5 (think I did) Here's how it went: Rodgers R.White Colston actually considered reaching on Foster here as got in semi-panic mode that would be stuck with bad RBs, but settled down, helped in fact by Colston falling here; hard to pass on his value here. Foster As soon as I picked him two guys behind me raised hell, so got him just right Bradshaw More uproar after this pick, so again just right Garcon Was going to go RB here again as felt good about other positions to this pt, but didn't like ones here and like Garcon especially as a #3 Celek Then Celek was here, so passed on RB again Mcfadden This was start of let's just get a few RBs and hope someone pans out Maroney Bush probably could have waited another round or so but getting OAK RBs was decent at this pt I thought Mckluster Cribbs Henne Keller Demarious Thomas Chris Ivory Tynes Cards (v Rams wk1)
KSB2424 3,148 Posted September 8, 2010 My main league I drafted 6th. PPR - 6pt all TD's - normal rosters 1. Andre Johnson (Aaron Rodgers went 5th) 2. Peyton Manning 3. Jamal Charles 4. Michael Crabtree 5. Arian Foster 6. Ahmad Bradshaw 7. Kevin Kolb 8. Malcom Floyd 9. Zach Miller 10. Santonio Holmes 11. J.Knox 12. D.Brown 13. M.Williams (Tampa) 14. D.Keller 15. Colts D 16. As you say, QB situation isn't so great, but yes, WAY deep at RB. Should be able to parlay a RB or two into a solid QB starter as some pt So MJD dropped to you? Others concerned with the 'injury' thing you think? And who else jumped ahead? I have White as well and really like him this year. Think rest of WR corps is a bit thin though; Gates is like another WR though. You like Giants for long term or just b/c of early match-ups? (know they play CAR to start season as they were other D I considered for wk1 matchup).

Think rest of WR corps is a bit thin though; Gates is like another WR though. You like Giants for long term or just b/c of early match-ups? (know they play CAR to start season as they were other D I considered for wk1 matchup). My draft went CJ, AP, Rodgers, Brees, and Rice. At that point I just had to take MJD. I considered Gore but it's not like he's very durable, either. I honestly didn't like many of the WR options in the 2nd round and DWill was the best RB left over at 23. I was IMO extremely fortunate to end up with Roddy White in the 3rd. Come the 4th I didn't love many of the mid-tier WRs left over so I drafted Gates. I think he's the safest bet on the board at TE and should be in for a big year. I'm not wild about McCoy either but he could amass something like 1,200 combined yards and 7-8 TDs and the value was too strong to pass up in the 5th. Likewise with Bradshaw in the 6th. After that I went heavy after high-upside wideouts and I really like Mike Wallace, Jacoby Jones and Nate Burleson. Where I screwed up was in gambling that other owners would target depth at RB/WR over a backup QB. Several teams took backups before I drafted a starter. I was the last team to take a kicker or a defense, too. Anyway, we start 2 RB/WR flex, so my roster right now looks like: QB: Henne (until Ben is back) RB: MJD RB: DWill WR: Roddy White WR: Wallace / Jones TE: Gates Flex: Bradshaw Flex: McCoy / Harrison TE: Gates K: Rackers (picked him up) D: Giants I'm probably kidding myself here, but in a 14-team standard league I actually think this lineup is pretty stacked, especially once Roethlisberger is back Week 5. I'm in a 16 teamer also, so I don't know about stacked, but def solid for 14 teamer. Wow didn't realize White in 3rd in 14 teamer? That's NICE value. DWill as a #2 behind MJD is solid and was right call IMO.

But I think I have the potential to start 4 really solid RBs week in and week out, hopefully parlay one into a better situation at QB/WR. I was damn lucky to get MJD in the 1st and White in the 3rd, too. We'll see - good luck my friend.
Busted by the Feds 9 Posted September 8, 2010 Drafted from the # 6 in my main league (PPR, 10-team). Mine was unusual in that the # 2 guy went for Gore, and had everyone scrambling. Believe it or not the first 5 picks passed on AP and he fell to me, go figure. QB -- Romo, Henne RB -- AP, McCoy, Bradshaw, M Barber, Gerhart (handcuff) WR -- Roddy, Ochocinco, SSmith (NYG), S Moss, V Jackson, Dez Bryant TE -- Vernon Davis K -- Hartley D -- Pittsburgh We start QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, R/W/T flex, K and Def
NPNG 4 Posted September 8, 2010 I drafted 6th this past Saturday - 14 teams (start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, k, def) 1 - A. Rodgers 2 - M. Austin 3 - L. Fitzgerald 4 - J. Charles 5 - A. Gates 6 - K. Moreno 7 - A. Bradshaw 8 - J. Knox 9 - Green Bay def. 10 - M. Williams (TB) 11 - K. Huggins 12 - J. Campbell 13 - T. Scheffler 14 - N. Rackers 15 - S. Janikowski 16 - Denver def *** had to draft 2 kickers, 2 defenses *** traded Huggins and Bradshaw to Cadillac owner for R. Grant after draft My starting lineup: QB - A. Rodgers RB - J. Charles - R. Grant WR - M. Austin - L. Fitzgerald TE - A. Gates K - N. Rackers def - Green Bay *** Not bad for a 14 team league. D. Williams went 3rd so I had my choice of Rodgers or A. Johnson. p00h 85 Posted September 8, 2010 came out of the 6 in a 14 team league last night. with any 14 teamer, you can rest assured that rbs are a premium. Took turner in the 1st. Came back to the 2nd, the top 3 qbs and a ton of rbs gone, plus moss/aj/wayne. I took megatron. In the 3rd, I reached for arian foster because decent starting rbs were dunzo! Then chased bradshaw in 4th because i wanted to hoard any rbs left that might even sniff a starting load of work. in the 5th I went gates, great value there IMO. 6th got kolb, 7th forsett, 8th maclin, 9th eddie royal, 10th breaston, 11th willis McGhaee, 12th stafford, 13th rackers, 14th Chargers D... Lake209 43 Posted September 8, 2010 Drafted 6th in a 12-team, PPR format. We start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR/TE, and 1 flex RB/WR/TE. QB: Romo (R2); Stafford (R10) RB: SJax (R1); A.Foster (R3); R.Bush (R6); M.Bush (R9) WR: S.Smith-CAR (R4); D. Bowe (R5); Sims-Walker (R7); M. Floyd (R8); J.Knox (R11); Mike Williams-TBAY (R12) DST: Ravens (R13) PK: Buehler (R14) Not the sexiest team in the league - but probably the most consistent. Joscellin 0 Posted September 8, 2010 As someone drafting a money league tonight (12 team, non ppr, QB RB RB WR WR FLEX TE K D) out of the 6 slot, I've been trying to decide on my strategy. Should I take the last of those top 6 backs (assuming CJ, ADP, MJD, RR gone) which would end up as Turner or Gore, or do I take AJ at the top and go from there? In the mocks I've been doing I usually take the RB, and then a WR unless one of the top 3 QBs wheel to me. I'm guessing I could go AJ and probably look for a Charles, Matthews, Mendenhall for RB1 but that kinda makes me uncomfortable, and leaves no room for taking a QB there if Peyton drops. Waiting until round three for RB1 seems... suicidal.
De Novo 0 Posted September 12, 2010 10 team redraft, standard scoring with 6 pt passing TDs, start 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex. I drafted about 3 weeks ago and I suspect Foster's and a few other's ADPs have risen considerably. For similar reasons outlined above, went with Rodgers 6th. Decided that I wouldn't reach for a WR because I felt like there was a lot of depth or I would be able to trade excess RB talent for more than their worth at WR. Interesting outcome - my WRs are terrible, but based on my rankings every other position is about as good as it gets (notwithstanding consensus top 5 RBs). Again, I drafted ~3 weeks ago so hold the weak league comments for getting Foster in the 6th. 1. Aaron Rodgers 2. Ryan Mathews 3. Jamaal Charles (traded up to grab him) 4. Jahvid Best 5. Jermichael Finley 6. Arian Foster 7. Felix Jones 8. Terrell Owens 9. Dez Bryant 10. Darren McFadden 11. Mike Williams (TB) 12. Packers DST 13. Matt Ryan 14. Fred Taylor 15. Nate Burleson 16. James Jones 17. Mike Williams (SEA) 18. Kicker
