Giants Fan 85 Posted September 27, 2010 I guess we'll see what Rogers does tonight, but is there ANY QB you would rather have as a starter over Vick right now?
WhiteWonder 2,967 Posted September 27, 2010 a ton. Vick has played the Lions and Jags. Not exactly stellar defenses. for both fantasy and real life purposes i will take Brees, Brady, Peyton, Rivers, Schaub, Romo, Rodgers and potentially others over Vick. Dungheap 0 Posted September 27, 2010 I guess we'll see what Rogers does tonight, but is there ANY QB you would rather have as a starter over Vick right now? I'm selling high on Vick. I don't think he will be able to keep up this level of performance and, watching the Jags game, I'm convinced he's due to have a multi-pick game in the very near future. He has gotten away with a lot of forced passes that good defenses will not let him get away with.

Plus my dog would be mad at me if I had Vick on my team.
Puddleglum 0 Posted September 27, 2010 I'm in agreement with TMR here, I still like the "big seven" over Vick going forward, but a few more nice games and I'd move him further. Yes, the competition has been week, but he has been absolutely on point so far, elite QBs have monster games against lesser foes, and so far that's what Vick has done. No QB has outscored him in fantasy points against common opponents. (i.e. nobody has scored more than Vick against Detroit, Jacksonville, or Green Bay). I wouldn't be surprised to see him end up in the top 3-4 at the end of the year if he stays healthy, but he is a bigger injury risk than the traditional elite QBs. Personally speaking, I have Rodgers and I plan on trying to deal Vick for a WR this week, I am seriously shorthanded there.

One league allows a 5 point bonus for 300 and 400. I doubt MV gets those. Brees, Peyton, Schaub, and Rivers all can get those easily.
deefree93 0 Posted September 27, 2010 It is very trendy to say "sell high" on Vick, but has anyone done it? I think its one of those situations where everyone in your league is gonna be hesitant to take a chance on him, because everyone seems to think he's gonna bomb real soon.. Don't overlook the fact that he is in massive amounts of debt and playing with an incentive-laden contract this year, that seems to bring the best out of certain players Will he finish top 3? its doubtful but he's proven he can perform at that level with the right matchup. I'd say most weeks he will be ranked around the 6-9th best QB, so really more of a mid-range qb option.

Vick is playing pretty dam good right now but id take 1-Brady-yes because im biased 2-Rodgers 3-Manning 4-Brees 5-Rivers 6-Cutler 7-Vick 8-Romo -not Schuab right now

Bears_Rule 0 Posted November 21, 2010 I understand that P. Manning, Brady, Rivers, Brees and Rodgers would be hard to lay down on the bench.... But Mike Vick is my guy regardless of match-up right now. He's playing at a different level and until we see something different I think you have to keep running him out there. And I don't have that opinion just from the Washington game. I've watched every Eagles game this year and he's just on a different level right now. Giants Fan 85 Posted December 23, 2010 Ok ... I am gonna bump it. How's Aaron Rogers working out for you now? It's me against the Rapistburger (lucky, Hester and Chicago DST) owner in the championship.
