Matt Mueller 146 Posted October 26, 2010 I'm just being retarded but I really need to land a QB with Romo out. I have the 8th spot in a 12 team league and I've never completely understood how the waiver process works when requesting multiple players. If I am putting in waivers for say 3 or 4 QBs, should I just rank them as I want them? Or is there some strategy where I should maybe make my second favorite target my #1 request in hopes that I have a higher waiver priority than another owner. Does that make sense? I know I'm over complicating this and being a re re. Help!!

The WW pickups works in accordance to what teams have waiver wire priority.. Right now, in a 10 team league, I have the 9th position. So I will put what player I want the most in my first priority and if someone above me picks him first, I don't get him. So basically put the QB you want at the HIGHEST priority.. For ex. If you are #5 in WW priority and you want Fitzpatrick first and say Kitna second, put your priority to Fitz first. If the #4 WW player puts in for Fitz first, you will get Kitna. If he puts in for Kitna first and no team above you puts in for Fitz, you will get Fitz.. Bottom line, put any player you want in the priority you want them. Militia 0 Posted October 26, 2010 Yes, put the person you want most first and so on. You'll get the highest guy on your list that is still left.
Law 241 Posted October 26, 2010 Waivers work like this: The computer looks to the team with the #1 waiver position, the last place team in your league if waiver priority rolls over every week. If that team has a waiver claim in place, the computer gives them that claim and that team then drops to the #10 waiver position (in a 10-team league). The computer then looks at the new team with the #1 waiver position, formerly the team with the #2 position. If this team has a waiver claim, it is granted and then they drop to the #10 spot and everyone moves up again. This process is repeated over and over again until all waiver claims are processed.
