I still like my early picks. Peyton is hurting. St. Louis looks like a division winner.

Post your picks and relish the glory in a few months.

I'm not going to edit my picks but my darkhorse is Detroit and my gut feeling says Philly has a tougher year than most expect.

I'm an Eagles fan and I think you may be right about Philly. I still think they're going to win the division, but I see a team that may really struggle to gel in the early going.

The talent has definitely improved. The pass D was dreadful last year and they obviously got a whole lot better in the secondary and bolstered the pass rush with Babin, Jenkins and Philip Hunt, whose had a really strong preseason. Unfortunately they also have big questions along the OL and the LB corps in particular. The line really sucked last year and doesn't look a whole lot better this season. The LB corps is a real point of concern. As of right now they're starting a 4th round rookie in the middle and two very young players at WLB and SLB. They could really use a veteran presence. I think Philly will struggle to keep Vick upright and opposing defenses are going to use screen passes and misdirection to take advantage of the Eagle's youth and inexperience on D.

That said ... last year's Eagles defense and OL was awful and they still won 10 games and had an opportunity to beat the Packers in the playoffs. On paper they're much more talented and added some very good coaches in Washburn and Mudd. But I think there's been so much upheaval it's going to take time for things to come together. Hopefully this is a team that gets better as the season wears on.

Houston over Indy is looking better by the day.

St. Louis starts their march to the NFC West title with an upset of the birds this week. :shocking:

what i find most interesting in looking back over this is the lack of love for chicago going into the season.

one of the most consistent "right" picks (or non picks) in this thread.

the most waaaaaayyyyy off pick: the rams.

The Bengals have to be one of the best stories of the year. Almost all preseason rankings had them at 32. No one saw them making the playoffs, not even fans.

Yeah, was glad to see the rookie Dalton & the Bengals get in cause I'm sure not many had them getting in. Yet no big dance for them though as the Superbowl will be a turkey rematch of the Harbaugh brothers, Ravens vs. San Francisco 49ers. The outcome is different this time. Low scoring game but entertaining as the MVP ends up being Rookie Aldon Smith with 5 sacks & a fumble recovery. 49ers-20/Ravens-12

Not too bad. AFC I went 4/6 (Chargers and Raiders were both close). NFC I went 4/6 too (Cowboys were close; Rams WAAAY off). Pats as AFC champ too! :overhead:

And I was part of 10% of folks who DIDN'T pick Philly.
