StegRock 0 Posted August 19, 2011 I believe this guy to be one the sneakiest DEEP-sleepers this year, that is, if he can stay healthy, a BIG "if" mind you, I know. Does anybody out there in FFTodayland have any DEEP thoughts or insider/local info that could sway opinion on him one way or the other? On a personal note, yea, StegRock's back,... at least for a bit. I hope those of you who were my friends here back in the day are all well. It has been quite a roller-coaster ride over the last, well, better part of a decade since I was a regular around here: lived in five states, am now a dad and, finally, on the verge of doctoral candidacy (fingers crossed). Remember, back then, "tweeting" was something that just annoyed Sylvester the Cat, not the whole world, and the whole of the internet was not being collapsed down into the black hole known as Facebook! Finally, just to let yous know... This thread is in connection with this one that I started (but isn't going anywhere fast): http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=386303. The clock is ticking here on my garnering feedback in time, and it really does seem to be that Alexander is the x-factor in the decision I have to make here in roughly 60 hours. I thank you all in advance for any help I receive here!

I thank you all in advance for any help I receive here! There is no question Alexander has the talent. He was ahead of maclin at Mizzou and is a big target. However, his knees are sh!t and I'd say there is about 1% chance he stays healthy for any length of time. Certainly has the tools but you can't count on him long term. StegRock 0 Posted August 21, 2011 Please, as the time ticks on the relevance of this, just permit me this one "bump". Thank you!

StegRock 0 Posted August 21, 2011 That is what has been said about many a player, and, true, it often does spell demise... But, then, Terry Allen comes to mind! In his case it was BOTH knees. ... I don't know. It seems like none of us do... beyond just so-called conventional wisdom. I was looking for that "unconventional" thinking about the guy, whether good or bad. Oh, well... DamageIncVacc 6 Posted August 23, 2011 Forget Alexander . Another MRI and knee issues. Danario Alexander underwent an MRI on his five-times surgically repaired left knee Monday. The MRI was announced by the team. The fact that Alexander can't get over the hump with the same knee makes us think he'll eventually need to either 1) Take an extended period off from football, or 2) Need a more extensive knee surgery. At this point, we'd be a bit surprised if he made the Rams' roster. Aug. 22 - 7:28 p.m. ET

PackYourNut 47 Posted August 23, 2011 Apparently, FragileRock is trying to talk himself into taking DA, despite the obvious. Maybe he is clairvoyant or maybe the dude with 5 knee injuries will seize to exist! Either way he is available in the 13th and not something we should worry about \

illini9825 7 Posted August 23, 2011 I bought this guy last year and then as expected, he gets hurt. No thanks, I'll pass this time around.
Mullog 12 Posted August 23, 2011 I bought this guy last year and then as expected, he gets hurt. No thanks, I'll pass this time around. Me too...he only added to my angst at WR last year. It's too bad...he has freakish talent but was built with defective parts.
DamageIncVacc 6 Posted August 23, 2011 Danario Alexander - WR - Rams Danario Alexander has opted against another clean-up procedure on his troublesome left knee. It would have been the sixth known surgery on the knee. Though Alexander's MRI revealed no further damage, he's dealing with "chronic swelling" this year. Coach Steve Spagnuolo called DX "one tough sucker," noting that the receiver wants to play through the pain. We'll see if he gets that chance in a Rams uniform this year.
