PATSSOX 22 Posted August 25, 2011 Alright lets see some draft results for those who have had 12 team drafts so far. I had one tonight and have one Thursday and Sunday. Tonight was 12 team Keeper League. I ended up with the #12 pick so i got the first pick tonight. We could only keep 1. So i got really lucky with AP not being kept but its a PPR league. I did a horrible job with TE. There was a run on TEs in the 4th damn round for some reason By time i picked Schuab in 4th round the only QBs, id consider starting, that were left were Schuab, Ben, Freeman and Ryan. So took Schuab. Manning, Brady, Vick, Brees, and Rodgers were all kept by owners. c9h13no3 0 Posted August 25, 2011 Here's my picks, with my analysis for each pick. 12 team league, Interceptions = -6 points each, Fumbles = -4 points each, 6 points for all TD's QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/WR/TE/D/K, 4 Bench Spots 1.06 - Rodgers, QB --> First QB off the board, CJ2K & McCoy were other options, but with the QB scoring, QB is a more important position. 2.07 - McFadden, RB --> Highest RB on my board at the time. Fitzgerald/Calvin Johnson were the other options here. 3.06 - Hillis, RB --> Miles Austin dropped down here, but I'm not as low on Hillis as others. 4.07 - Holmes, WR --> Had to grab a WR, other options were Mike Williams, Colston, Lloyd 5.06 - Best, RB --> Tons of WR options I still liked on the board, so I went with a value pick here on a RB going a full round after his ADP. 6.07 - Finley, TE --> #1 TE on my board (and #48 on Yahoo's big board) is here at pick 67. I couldn't wait any longer. 7.06 - Smith (Car), WR --> Desperation pick. There were 5 WR's I liked when I picked Finley, none made it back to me. Other choices: Julio Jones, AJ Green, Sidney Rice 8.07 - Amendola, WR --> Other WR's available: Roy Williams, Robert Meachem, AJ Green still 9.06 - Sims-Walker, WR 10.07 - Bush (Mia), RB --> A 15 carry per game RB should not make it to round 10 in a 12 team league. Hopefully he has a good first few games, and I can trade him. 11.06 - Roberts, WR --> A breakout WR I like. 12.07 - Cardinals, D 13.06 - Henery, K

giraldi02 470 Posted August 27, 2011 Granted, it's a kicker and often our projections, opinions, yada yada don't mean much in terms of the final rankings.... but have any of you EVER seen such a general consensus on a kicker like Alex Henery? rookie, not getting projected as necessarily the highest scoring kicker, plays outdoors and in some volatile weather...just incredible though. mattp13 0 Posted August 27, 2011 I had my first of two drafts this season on Thursday night. Had the 11th pick in a standard scoring league on ESPN. This league is just for fun. This league starts QB RB RB WR WR RB/WR TE K D/ST. QB - Tony Romo, Matt Cassell RB - LeSean McCoy, Rashard Mendenhall, James Starks, Bernard Scott, Jamie Harper WR - Dez Bryant, Brandon Marshall, AJ Green, Plaxico Burress, Michael Crabtree TE - Antonio Gates, Tony Gonzalez K - Mason Crosby D/ST - New York Jets All in all I'm not too thrilled about the team. I should have taken an elite WR with one of my first 2 picks and I picked Antonio Gates to early because Finley and Clark went the two picks before me. Unless you used an IPAD to do it but if was on your phone you get bonus pts IPAD would have been good, but it was a live draft - and I was the only clown not there (my co-captain bailed on me and went fishing instead, after he had promised to draft, the ish-for-brains ). I ended up having printouts of my cheatsheets, and drafted through text-messaging. That was a PITA, particularly because the guy helping me at the draft had a phone that kept going out. I wouldn't recommend anyone do it; it was a distracting (but at least it didn't hurt the golf).
