DeaLerZ 0 Posted September 3, 2011 This guy was amazing to watch in college.. I remember thinking he'll make a hell of an exciting runner to watch in the pro's... what has happened? Why can't he take atleast 50% of the carries away from "Average" Fred??
DamageIncVacc 6 Posted September 3, 2011 Honestly "Average " Fred has outplayed him in every way. CJ Spiller is like Reggie Bush. His talents dont really translate into the NFl too well and you have to use him the right way.
WhiteWonder 2,160 Posted September 3, 2011 its been 1 year... Relax. this offseason and preseason, Spiller has seemingly been more involved. i do happen to think we will see more of a split in 2011.
Joey Gladstone 33 Posted September 3, 2011 I hear he needs to work on his blocking. I took him pretty late, hoping for some 2nd half upside. Like others have said, it probably wont happen in 2011.
Portis26 0 Posted September 5, 2011 He will play a lot this year, maybe not week1-4 , but the guy has too much speed and talent to be on bench. He is going to be the steal of a lot of drafts IMO as long as he isn't in punt return duty he'll be fine and a worthy #2 RB at some point in the season <and I dont have him, but trying to trade 4 him>

He's sick in open space, but has a hard time getting through the line.
Bad_Mo_focher 1 Posted September 5, 2011 Jackson is a much better NFL RB than Spiller. Spiller can only hope to be as successful and durable (pfft) as Reggie Bush. Stop with the ridiculous hype with this stiff.
Boilermaker04 11 Posted September 5, 2011 He was the best athlete on the field in any given play in college. This is not true in the NFL. This happens to a lot of star college players. Don't write him off completely yet, but he is what he is right now, an average-at-best specialty RB/great special teams player.

Guys can get away with speed and athleticism in college because the other guys on the field can't hang. This isn't the case in the NFL. Defenses are fast. Just as fast in fact.
