DEEZNUTS 18 Posted October 4, 2011 Injuries, ineffectiveness, McGahee, and we're going into week 5 of a 13 week fantasy regular season. I'm missing out on other potential waiver wire guys who might be more productive. Anyone else thinking of cutting ties - or might he be a late season gem? Not sure what to make of this guy. effective 0 Posted October 4, 2011 Personally I don't think he's shown anything to suggest he'll be late season gold. He's been healthy for 2 weeks now and has gotten jack for playtime. McGahee has decent #'s so unless he goes down I don't see Moreno doing anything. That said, what else is available on your WW? If someone like Ridley is there I'd consider taking a shot at him. titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted October 5, 2011 I have this clown in two leagues now, one a dynasty. I really hope he gets cut after the season and gets a shot somewhere else... I loved the guy coming out of Georgia, but he's done jack in the pros. Maybe its because denver sucks, but I dunno.
JT 137 Posted October 5, 2011 I'm thinking about dropping him for Torain. Thinking about it?!? It's obvious what the Denver staff thinks of Moreno, and for good reason. He's no better than the #2 in a really crappy offense. Torain, at least until he sprains his labia, is going to get the bulk of the work for a halfway decent offense. Never have understood what people see in Moreno, and why they think they're going to miss something if he actually gets on the field. He has issues with ball security, is injury prone, and does a crappy job in pass protection. McGahee is a pro and tough as nails. Barring major injury, he's not losing his job to that stiff. Kris-styles 0 Posted October 5, 2011 Looks like Fox named Willis the featured back "for now" according to ROTOWORLD Coach John Fox confirmed that Willis McGahee is the Broncos' feature back after clearing 100 rushing yards in two of the past three weeks."We're in a week-to-week, or a 'What have you done for me lately?' league, so right now, I think it's fair to say that Willis is that guy," Fox said. "I think his performance has kind of been the proof." McGahee has earned the job by the mere fact that he can handle the heavy workload without hitting the trainers' room. Just don't expect that to be a long-term gig in Fox's "What have you done for me lately" world. Oct 4 - 7:11 PM

I'm missing out on other potential waiver wire guys who might be more productive. Anyone else thinking of cutting ties - or might he be a late season gem? Not sure what to make of this guy. It looks like all those "he's just a change of pace back" comments are looking to be reality, after all. Moreno is a shifty back with nice versatility, but it's looking more and more like he was a reach in the first round by McDaniels. McGahee has clearly been more effective lately, so he'll have to take a nose-dive for Moreno to get a nice role again. I wouldn't dump him just yet, especially since the waiver wire is so thin at running back. Just keep your eye on injuries and rising talent.
Natetradomus 0 Posted October 5, 2011 Traded him for Ravens Def in one league, and dropped him for Steven Ridley in another league. He isn't worth the headache. It's been 5 weeks already and at best he is a 10 carry guy now.
Smileseers 54 Posted October 5, 2011 Moreno reminds me of CJ Spiller. Both are a poor man's Reggie Bush and will never amount to more than that.

The Hood 9 Posted October 5, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqtPF5ixWkU&feature=player_embedded Pretty sure you need better balance than this to be a good RB.
da_mane_man 1 Posted October 5, 2011 maaan, i've pretty much given up on my season in the one league that i have him in. i also have lynch and ocho, so that helps, but owning moreno is crap. i was high on him in the offseason, soured on him a bit as the year got closer, but ended up taking him cause there was no one else available. i really dont understand why he's not successful in denver. he's got the talent, he's got a coach that wants to run, he's got a line that opens holes for mcgahee just fine. what is the problem? he's definitely a better RB than reggie bush, too. don't give me that bs.
