VinegarStrokes 0 Posted October 8, 2011 I really feel strongly that Newton will do better this week than Brady. Am I crazy? I know I will be pissed if I start Newton and he gets outscored by Brady. You really can't go wrong either way so if you like one guy's matchup over the other guy, then go for it by all means. Also, I would point out that the Patriots--including Tom Brady--want to have a more balanced offense. So I think the first three weeks was probably the peak for Brady, fantasywise, and it's downhill from here. Of course even downhill Brady is better than almost all other QB options. But Cam Newton? Revenge in mind from last year's conference playoff game where the 6th seed Jets embarrassed the 1 seed Patriots in the Patriots back yard. The Patriots will dish it out this time and the Jets will lose their 3rd straight road game. Brady should be good for 4 passing touchdowns and over 400 yards passing. On the other hand, anyone who thinks Cam Newton is going to run all the touchdowns in for Carolina's ground game this year is crazy . Those touchdowns will be replaced by Steward and Williams getting them eventually. I'd say sooner rather than later. The reason is people don't want to trade one of their top players for a position where they are likely ok starting lower end guys that score similar points. The reason is people don't want to trade one of their top players for a position where they are likely ok starting lower end guys that score similar points. I hope one of the two puts up huge numbers this week, I would trade either for a RB1 I offered Brady and M. bush for Freeman and A. foster ( he has McFadden, Freeman is his best qb), I am kinda surprised he didn't take it.
