Rick Perry Will Abolish Three Departments of the Federal Government!

Recommended Posts

From tonight's debate:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=zUA2rDVrmNg#!

Between this gaffe and his bizarre speech in New Hampshire (was he drunk or something?), it's not lookin' good for Perry. Cain's gone, Perry's on his way out...might as well hand Romney the nomination, no?

Romney is a RINO and most R's don't like him for that.

Who else can get the nomination?

Cain - Done it by these sexual harassment allegations

Perry - Exposed as a weirdo and an idiot

R. Paul - Widely regarded to be a wingnut

Bachmann - Peaked months ago

Gingrich - Never a serious candidate

Huntsman - Can't gain traction

Santorum - Has nothing

Am I missing anyone? Seems like Romney has to get the nod by default, even though Republicans don't really trust him and he is a Mormon.

I think they will have to settle for Romney. He'll run on a platform of being a businessman and job creator ... until his opponent points out that the only business he was in was dismantling them and shipping the jobs overseas.

We had a guy from Minnesota named Tim something-or-other we just hired as an English teacher at our school. Boring guy, put the kids to sleep. He just up and quit, said he was returning home and going to jump back into the presidential race.

Yeah Pawlenty might have gotten out a little too early. Even though he's boring and uninspiring, I'd have to think he'd look pretty good to the conservative base right now given how badly all of the other alternatives have faltered.

What a buffoon. Almost as dumb as saying there are 58 states.

I am so glad we don't elect people like that. :)

Wait, how exactly is he wrong? I think that each candidate should run on a platform where they pick FIVE departments to eliminate. We get a big wheel at the Inauguration and the first five that come up on a spin are eliminated!!

I actually watched the debate last night...

Perry is done. That guy just isn't even trying.

Cain managed to work 9-9-9 into every damn answer, whether it was relatable or not, and came off looking pretty silly imho.

Romney just sat there quietly mostly letting other people serve up the fayle.

Paul, again, had trouble keeping his cool, and came off looking like Howdy Doodey on crystal meth.

Honestly, the two I was most impressed with were Bachman :shocking: and especially Huntsman. Why is that guy going nowhere?

Romney seems to be doing that...just trying to get out of the way of the trainwreck of some of the others.

That was the worst I had seen Paul look...probably finally frustrated that nobody is giving him the attention he really deserves as the best candidate.

Perry looked like a complete imbecile.

Side note, why should we care who full blown liberals think should be the Republican nominee?

In terms of views on issues... you shouldn't.

I was just watching to see if any of these clowns look electable.

We'll see if Perry's people stick with him. Maybe the same with Cain's.

They probably aren't going to turn to each other as those two melt down.

This could be a big boost for The Dingbat or santorum. Sadly, if somebody is willing to dump Cain over sexual harassment charges, the last candidate they would turn to is Newt Gingrich who's ten times worse in that regard, but then again, those people are really stoopid poorly understood so who knows what goes through their brains. Gingrich may get some Perry defectors. Paul seems capped, after those that love him, there's not many more that are in play.

Or they could just say 'fock it' and embrace Romney.

The republitards have fetishized stupidity for years. Spewing "aw-shucks" and/or homespun peckerwood aphorisms is a prerequisite.

I mean, Perry has boasted in the past about how he was a C student. Dubya did the same thing.

It's mind boggling that people here in Texas keep re-electing him for Governor. The dude is a pompous, stupid, jackass.

In fairness, most people never hear the candidates for governor ever speak. That election is solely based on name recognition. Thus the advantage goes to any incumbent and to whoever can spend the most of radio/tv ads.

Was the number of states a central plank to Obama's platform? Doesn't if kind of give you pause, that maybe he hasn't really given this thing a whole ton of thought, since he can't even name the three departments? And it wasn't like he just couldn't name it off the tip of his tongue, even after *thinking* about it, he still couldn't name it.

The GOP debates should be televised on Comedy Central. I spent the entire 2 hours laughing. The sad part is that the candidates are the best the Gop has to offer.

Look for Gary Johnson to make a late run. At least he seems like a real human instead of a caricature. Some of his policies may be way out there. You Ron Paul guys may like him, and he doesn't look like he is about to die like Ron.

Call me crazy, but I tend to think it is important to know how many states you are in charge of. If it isn't important to know the number of states, we should immediately take it out of the 2nd grade curriculum.

Jeez, aren't we a little touchy today. :(

I called Perry a buffoon, what more do you want from me. :dunno:

I guess the 58 states comment was a little below the belt. Maybe growing up in the backwoods of WI, this may have been the hardest question in the Sheyboygan Junior High Entry Exam. :dunno:

The GOP can't get out of their own way. Talk about handing the election to Obama.

Who to vote for, as a registered independent in 2012? The weird old dude with horrible no foreign policy, the nerdy black guy who fondles white women, the guy who can't remember what he wants to do if elected, the crazy white lady, the guy in the religious cult, or the crappy black guy we already got.

Think I'll stick with the crappy black guy we already got. At least he's a sports fan. :pointstosky:

I don't particularly care for Rick Perry - but it's ridiculous that this brain-freeze moment is what will sink him.

The guy froze, couldn't remember his line... happens to everyone.

I wish candicates were vetted by something more than the "gotcha" moments.

Line 'em up.

Give them thirty seconds to answer, look good, smile, and plug their campaign slogan.

rinse/repeate.

and everyone votes based on that.

Horrible.

But that's elections nowadays - it's American Idol.

People are really dumb...

the difference is that liberals think they can convert the dummies into communists to oppress them and maintain their power

conservatives want to lead the dummies to freedom.
