Marshawn Lynch

Recommended Posts

I haven't seen a single carry so is the Seattle line getting better? Marshawn just playing better? Or just the fact he is the only horse in town? My rb #2's suck so he is the man now. Rams, skins, eagles, rams, nice matchups coming up.

Lynch is in full beast mode now... look at his next 4 games: @STL, WAS, PHI, STL

he isn't fast, but he is a bruiser... runs between the tackles and runs hard. And he gets almost all of the goal line carries. Seattle will have to rely on the run if they plan on winning any more games. And expect Lynch to get at least 25 touches each game if not more.

Not bad for a low draft pick or FA pickup.

Just be warned I will be playing him for the first time this week, so his streak will surely come to an end. Surely.

I was going to say the same thing lol. This feels like a focking trap! It's not so much of his stats that have impressed me but WHO he's run well against lately. He put up 22+ points vs. DAL and 24+ vs. BAL...WTH is going on here.

I am playing him as well. And last time I did that he broke his vag in warm ups. So the rest of you should probably not start him.

Seattle's young O line is getting better with run blocking but lost their starting RG for the season last week. I am mixed on this. Is it the coaching that's getting better or is it the individuals? I don't know so I will watch Lynch another week on my bench.

He's the same power back he's been all year, the line is just starting to improve despite injuries. The coaching staff has the offense dumbed down enough where Tavaris can be effective too.

Nursing a lead that had shrunk to 5 points because of a wave of stupid, bone-headed, self-inflicted penalties, Lynch completely broke the back of the Ravens defense in Seattle's final possession. He was pushing the pile and dragging defenders to 1st downs, helping Seattle drain the clock. It was AWESOME and indicative of the effort he's put in all season finally starting to pay off.

Beware, Seattle is young and dumb and any good run is always in jeopardy of getting called back due to holding, illegal hands to the face, fighting, etc. Also, bad Tavaris is always lurking around the corner. Seattle finally has some physical talent, but they still have a lot of growing up to do.

Seattle just lost their starting RT(Carpenter, just announced today) along with the starting RG(Moffit). I am not touching Lynch with a 10ft pole the rest of the season. Seattle has awful depth on their Oline. Maybe I can't tempt an idiot in my league for a trade before the weekend? lol.

DAMN! I was all set to FINALLY start him this week. I promised myself I would never start S.Greene again this year, and now I may have to turn to him again. I was all set for the Feast of the Beast!

I was just offered a trade of Lynch for Miles Austin... I was about to pull the trigger. Not that Austin has done anything lately...

Per DraftSharks.com:

Seahawks RG John Moffit went down last weekend with a season-ending knee injury. On Wednesday, RT James Carpenter tore his ACL during practice. The losses obviously aren't good news for the continuity of an offensive line that had paved the way for 2-straight 100-yard rushing days for RB Marshawn Lynch. But we should also point out that Pro Football Focus rates Moffit and Carpenter as Seattle's 2 worst run-blockers. It'll be a situation to monitor, but we're not expecting Lynch to be impacted much. He remains a quality fantasy option against the Rams this Sunday.

So why would they start their two worst run blockers? LOL! Do people think the replacements are better? The same? Or worse? I will pick the latter. Lynch is a bench for the rest of the season IMO.

Well, I got 6.5 hours decide between Lynch or Greene :wall:

I'll probably flip a coin minutes before tonight's game.

Man dude, that sucks.

I just heard about Carpenter. Injuries are hitting hard. However, Carp has been VERY inconsistent. In all honesty, not having him in the lineup could be a plus short-term...the guy was racking up penalties like crazy!

As far as Moffitt, the French-named guy that replaced him did a pretty good job against a good defense last week.

Theses injuries might not make much of a difference. Backups have been stepping up for inured players pretty admirably all season. I would start Lynch over Greene FWIW

I hope you mean that because it was sincere.

My bad man, I was just messin' around...but yeah, does suck.

BUT, fock Greene! He's let me down already, I'm rollin' with Beast!

The kicker was this extra short week for the Jets too, they GOT to be tired...AND going a mile high, no thanks.

Plus a little input from some folks(JG) here that WATCH Lynch was good to see too.

That's why this place :headbanger:

Thanks

I watched last weeks game and Lynch was a monster in the 4th quarter: making defenders miss and dragging tacklers 2-3 yards after contact. He also looked a lot faster than I expected. :dunno:

He is a decent #2 RB. The TD thing is hard to predict but Tavaris is good enough to keep people honest and he is a physical runner that will get most of his yardage late in games. Unfortunate since my beloved Seahawks normally wont be milking a lead. However the next 4 games look pretty sweet for him and that performance against the Ravens will be fresh in the coaches minds.

He has been getting opportunitites all year long, but the O-line is just recently beginning to flash its potential. The Moffit loss combined with the Carpenter loss is devastating though. Carpenter looks like he is out for season.

I can't believe I ever gave a second thought to Greene or Lynch this week.

Not a bad insurance policy to have. Feast on, Beast...feast!!!

However...now I have the weekly Sproles or Lynch dilemma.

He looked strong on Sunday, despite his line (who considering the circumstances weren't too bad).

The entire team is playing hard, mental mistakes are their biggest problem.

I picked Lynch up in 6 different leagues and he finally is rewarding me, unfortunately it could be too late  . Oh well it's nice to be right about something every now and again.

He has 750yds/20receptions/6TD's and I was guessing he would have 1200ish total yds/40rec/8TD thats pretty good for a 5th-7th round pick #3 type RB pick. They are kind of underutilizing his pass catching abilities in my opinion but I like the down field passing game this year so I can't complain. I still am kicking myself I went so heavy on Lynch over Fred Jackson on my teams though darn it, if I had only evened it out a little bit more. Darn hindsight.

Still beasting and even easier matchups ahead!!!

At least until the fantasy playoffs, when he runs into the 8th and 1st ranked run defenses!!!

Chicago doesn't scare me one bit, looks like they have allowed 7 td's which is middle of the pack i think, the 49ers on the other hand are scary. But if I make it to the final hopefully I have another option.

He was on his way to icing another win for Seattle, just PLOWING through the Washington defense in the 4th quarter. If his defense didn't choke and give up 2 long TDs he would have put up even better numbers.

Yeah, I agree with this. Especially with the QB situation, Chicago is going to leave opposing offenses with some decent field position.

But as for the championship game against the 49ers in Week 16 (if that's when your Final is), Lynch will be useless despite how well he's been producing.

Did you use a magic 8 ball to get this information?
