shovelheadt 68 Posted January 23, 2012 Sorry if this was already discussed. Anyone catch his midfield handshake? I've started to consistently root against Jim Harbaugh's ass. Having a hard time remembering a more spoiled, sobbing, childish coach in the NFL. He's all focking Rambo when he wins a game against the Lions, but can't be bothered to do anything more than touch hands with Coughlin when he loses. And then declines an postgame interview with the game day crew. Wish Coughlin would have donkey punched him. What a doosh.
gridiron whirlwinds 9 Posted January 23, 2012 I agree, what a ######. Looks like a ######, smells like a ######...is a ######. Childish describes him very well....acts like he is better than other coaches....give me a break.
RoadLizard 73 Posted January 23, 2012 Ive seen plenty of other coaches do the same thing. One of them is coaching a SB team in two weeks. Just saying. It is what it is.

Having a hard time remembering any sideline fits from Belichick. And I guarantee you he's never punked another coach like Harbaugh did to Schwartz. You combine that with the interview I read with John Harbaugh, where he said that he was the only friend that Jim had all through high school, and I'm guessing there's a pattern there. I'm guessing Jim has plenty of friends in his locker room. If you don't like him because of his lack of consistency in post game handshakes I doubt too many care. I'm sure his team and fans don't which is really all that matters for the 49ers. He took a lousy 6-10 team and brought them to within an eyelash of the SB. He's a great coach. Biggest incident i can recall was his complete snub of Eric Mangini after a loss to the Jets. Which was really childish considering Mangini looked up to Bill as a mentor. It was a big media issue leading up to the game due to what transpired in their first meeting. if you watch the video of the incident it is very clear Mangina went for the post game handshake and was completely snubbed. perhaps this "discussion" was fabricated afterward as a way for Bill to save face. but you could clearly tell it was not the case when it happened. and i could never stand mangini so im not standing up for him
WhiteWonder 2,452 Posted January 23, 2012 Maybe it was their last coach that was lousy and the team was actually pretty good? actually i do partly agree with this. I think Jim is a good coach but I don't think this was a 6-10 team. I think things were just stagnant and Harbaugh was a breath of fresh air (much like Rex was for my Jets). The whole "who has it better than us" rallying cry. His players bought in to his system. Time will tell if it's a lasting one.
Patriotsfatboy1 1,432 Posted January 23, 2012 I guess you missed where BB and Mangini had discussed pre-game in person, they weren't going to have a post-game handshake due to the media circus? Biggest incident i can recall was his complete snub of Eric Mangini after a loss to the Jets. Which was really childish considering Mangini looked up to Bill as a mentor. Mangini totally stuck it to his mentor by taking the head coaching job with his arch rival. Belichick didn't care when Romeo Crennel took a head coaching job with the Browns and he didn't care when Josh McDaniels took off for the Broncos. Heck, he was probably happy for those guys. The difference? They didn't go to another team within the division and they DEFINITELY didn't go to the hated Jets. Also I'm pretty sure none of those coaches reported the Patriots to the league. Giants Fan 85 Posted January 25, 2012 I think he's one of those guys that just "tunes you out" if he thinks you don't matter .... and I can see why someone like Jim Schwartz would take a real offense at that. My dad is a big 49ers fan and he didn't understand when I said, "There's something I don't like about him." and the way I described it to my Dad is, "It almost seems like he's so focused .... that he's oblivious." He thinks he's got it all figured out .... and he doesn't know shiat. Gotta have more than 3 WRs on your team. Gotta have depth there. He deserves coach of the year because of the turnaround ... but ... it wont last. They should start rebuilding next year.
Raider 84 29 Posted January 26, 2012 I'm pretty sure most coaches would feel the same way after a loss like that with a Superbowl on the line.

After the game some guys still try to go in, especially a guy like Mangina, and he snubs them. This is just a sad attempt at you trying to insult BB. There are plenty of other, factual ways of doing it, but this isn't it.

DocNiner 55 Posted January 26, 2012 Unless he goes way overboard with something I don't care about his handshakes or even lack of. As long as he keeps the 49ers winning I'll back him. The NFL isn't a personality contest, it's all about winning games. Is he a doush? Could be and probably. Probably will never have any post game class win or lose. Sure, outside of the X's & O's it be nice to see him have class, but that may never happen so I'll just have to be happy with winning and Harbaugh being a jerk at times. He was a b!tch about it. He was happy for everyone else because they're didn't go to a division rival. Look, if your boss trains you and makes you into a sought after commodity, and then you leave the company to go work for their primary competitor, he is probably gonna be pretty displeased with you. That's just the way it is. If you're fine with that, great, piss off your old boss to advance your career. Happens all the time. But then don't go complaining when your old boss snubs you. Only a whiny little biatch would do that.
