So we're wavering on Peter or Pierre as the "official" name. If we name him Pierre he can go by Pete, Peter, Pierre ... options. My stepdaughter is afraid he'll get beat up in the schoolyard with that name though. I tried to tell her he'll probably get beat up because his dad's a secretary, but she's not hearing it. Thoughts? I figure if we name junior Pierre, we call him "Pete" and when he's older he's got options. If we name him Peter he can't go by Pierre later in life. Your dad being French splains a lot.
