These machines use rear-steering wheels and levers that let them turn on a dime. This 42-inch Craftsman had consistently even cutting and impressive performance across the board. Its drive system is infinitely variable, and the electric power takeoff engages its blades with a switch instead of a lever. Other pluses include a high-back seat and a fuel gauge that you can see from the seat.

 

Reliability Ratings: (Best at top, worst at bottom--based on repairs needed.) Craftsman also did well here. Kinda surprising, actually.

All I could find, is that one drawback to the 2012 model, was that 1 in 3 had metal shavings lodged in the interior walls due to a flaw in manufacturing. But, a large bottle of desensitizing lotion comes with each Fleshlight, so you should be good. I mean your friend shouldn't have to worry.

Looks like for $350....good choices include:

A few Brinkman and Charbroil models...and the Kenmore 16142. That Kenmore one is not too far behind the $1000 Vermont Castings brand, and a long ways ahead of some $1900 Weber's.
