ltpunk 0 Posted November 7, 2012 Lost this week by less than 1 point. While checking the stats I noticed they charged Freeman with a fumble(-2pts) The play was a handoff to Blount who dropped the ball. Shouldnt that be Blounts fumble? Was hoping for a stat correction but nothing yet. Wondering if anyone knows the NFLs rule on dropped exchanges? Thanks
Squintz82 45 Posted November 7, 2012 It was Freeman's fumble
LouisC9999 3 Posted November 7, 2012 In my ESPN league, the fumble wasn't charged to Freeman immediately. The points were deducted the next day.
zac3434 5 Posted November 7, 2012 It isn't the receiver of the handoffs problem until they have control of the ball. So they're given to the qb most the time.
TheUsualSuspect 207 Posted November 8, 2012 I saw the play, and initially thought the F would be charged to Blount, despite Freeman's high handoff. I know I not stand alone as FOX showed Blount on the sidelines 2 or 3 times after the Raiders scored on the Ensuing drive. Tough One

cotarice12 18 Posted November 8, 2012 I lost a championship on this rule a few years ago. Bruce Gradkowski stuck a handoff right in William Green's gut and Green just flat dropped it. I had Gradkowski, opponent had Green. Still can't believe I played a title game with Gradkowski as one of my QB's (2 QB league). He was the 4th QB they used that year, behind Derek Anderson, Brady Quinn and Ken Dorsey. Ahh, the good old days.
