I know some people do it but not sure how the points are assigned.

 

I know some go 12 points for #1 in weekly points, 11 for #2 and so on.

 

How do you score the wins?

Some leagues use victory points. You get 2 points for a win and 0 points for a tie. In addition, the top four scoring teams earn 2 victory points. Top scoring teams 5-8 earn 1 victory point. And low scoring teams, 9-12, earn o points.

How do you pull rotisserie scoring out of that?

 

I'll explain slow for you:

 

People complain about being the highest scoring team and not making the playoffs due to head to head luck.

 

As an alternative to straight forward h2h scoring,you earn 12 points if you are the highest scoring team that week, 11 points for second, so on each week. You also get points for a win in your head to head matchup.

 

Your weekly total would be total points ranking (1 to 12) plus points for your head to head win. Obviously you cannot give only 1 point for a win because that makes the h2h results worthless.

 

So I was wondering if people use this type of system and how they score the win totals. I thought I read about it on here but maybe not.

This is the system my league adopted this year. Pretty happy with it so far.
