tikigods 76 Posted December 30, 2012 Romo leads the Cowboys to the division title tonight. All the talk about how he sucks and yet his team will win the division. This is almost as bad as predicting Mitt Romney winning the Presidency.
ian Potter 9 Posted December 30, 2012 Romo leads the Cowboys to the division title tonight. All the talk about how he sucks and yet his team will win the division. Anyone that says Romo sucks doesn't know a thing about football. The guy has thrown 178 TD'S and 88 INTS. His stats prove otherwise. His stats are better than a guy they call "Elite" who is praised for his excellent play (206 TD's to 144 INT's) Eli throws 1.43 TD's to every INT and Romo throws 2.13 TDs to INTs. The only difference between the two is Eli has had a better team around him and doesn't play for a team that is constantly televised. Cowboys have been a cluster F for the last decade and Romo has been the only thing that has kept them interesting. The guy has made some critical mistakes but the Cowboys DEF has been putrid and have had no running game. A lot has been placed on Romo's shoulders over his career. I realize QB's get some credit for wins and loses but it takes a lot more than solid QB play to make an NFL team successful. Romo is the least of the Cowboys worries and by no means the reason they have been unsuccessful in the last handful of years!

With that being said it's a pretty bold prediction seeing that they got their can's kicked by the skins earlier this year. It can be done but the deck is def stacked against them. NewbieJr 541 Posted December 30, 2012 No one thinks Romo sucks. The rap on him is that he chokes in big games. And he has a chance to prove that correct once again tonight.

Giants overall are a much better team all around or at least have been in he last 10 years.

NewbieJr 541 Posted December 31, 2012 How did you're $100,000,000 QB do? LOL Don't be so sensitive. Precious. No one said Vick was good. I just love watching Romo do the exact same thing year after year and watching Jerry Jones keep bringing him back expecting things to change. He's Superman when the games mean nothing and turns into Don Knotts when the cards are on table.

Big Blue 06 195 Posted December 31, 2012 As a Giants fan, I find it hard to root for either of these teams. However, I find it very easy to root against the Cowboys. Having said all of that, the Cowboys are lucky to have Romo. Look around the league and tell me he's not a top 10 QB. In a 32 team league, that's a good thing to have. ETA: I didn't really go through the league, but I would say top 10 sounds right. In no particular order: Peyton Manning Tom Brady Aaron Rodgers Drew Brees Matt Ryan Eli Manning Andrew Luck RG3 Ben Roethlisberger Romo Anyone I missed that should be ahead of Romo? I'd take Eli and Ben off this list. Cam belongs in there. I'd argue Stafford despite the poor year should be in as well. Romo, despite his failures, is a top 10 qb, mainly because the Cowboys are always playing from behind. As Cris Collinsworth said tonight, when Romo's career is done, he's either going to be a Super Bowl winner or a "Yeah, but...". (Can't this be said of ANY QB?) His inability to win the big games - most notably the "win and you're in" ones - is going to follow him around until he ever does win a Super Bowl. Sort of like the way it was with Elway.
