GreenTD 56 Posted April 7, 2013 Yeah, Bleacher Report just posted an article saying that Austin could be a great addition to the Bengals as the X-factor on offense that would get them past the Wildcard Round. Only problem is, they already have Lavelle Hawkins & he was under utilized in the gameplan against the Texans. Why spend a 1st round pick on a player similar to one you already have on the roster? Especially when there are other pressing needs on the team. Hopefully a team selects Austin before he makes it to the 21st pick.
The Football Guru 211 Posted April 11, 2013 As I said in the piece, his landing spot will have a big say on whether he is pigeonholed into a return specialist with slot abilities or a top-notch slot receiver with return abilities. I can't see the Bengals taking him since they took Sanu and Jones - two players they like - and didn't really utilize a similar player in Andrew Hawkins simply because he doesn't fit the prototype WR mold in Gruden' rigid WCO.
