Musk gives another $100M to Trump.  Trump runs a Tesla commercial from the White House says he's buying a car but isn't allowed to drive, then the herd like Sean hannity do the same, trying to pump up failing Tesla.

So pathetic.  For years these clowns decided electric cars no they're all buying them to appease musk.

not everything is OMB

Past presidents agree, this surprising rule is one of the worst parts of running the country

For security reasons, high profile government officials and former officials, like Barack Obama and Joe Biden, as well as both Bill and Hillary Clinton, have to rely on their appointed secret service teams, who are trained in "evasive and defensive driving maneuvers."

The assassination of John F. Kennedy in 1963 was a turning point in this lifetime security requirement. Lyndon Johnson was the last president to drive on public roads.

OMB has historically been one of the major drivers of government accountability, the neutering of its independence & handing everything over to one of the country’s biggest contractors is crazy in its own right. But I agree OMB really doesn't have anything to do with Trump driving.

I don't think Trump was talking about driving as president, I don't think he can drive at all.

FSD is magic and unsupervised FSD is coming this year. Klaus Schwab could own the company and I’d still be sold

Wife has a Volvo XC 60 . That’s soulless & a major pia, one issue after another. I’m 95% either getting a Tesla Y or a Mazda CX 50. I currently have a Subaru Outback Wilderness that’ has a turbo issue

We sold that Plaid as fast as we could and I bought her a Range Rover. I'll never buy any EV again. It's not a Tesla thing, they all suck.

You bought an Indian suv

I keep looking at the GMC serria EV. I currently drive a GMC Denali truck so I like their products. I like the 450 mile range and pretty much everything about it other than the $$$$$

I like the idea of electric cars and trucks. I think they fit 95% of what a family needs. I don't give a sh1t if they are good for the environment. Everything I know about the creation of the batteries is worse for the environment than gas cars.

Electric cars are faster more powerful and nicer rides. Being able to charge at home is a YUGE plus IMO.

Good luck, they depreciate at an unbelievable rate. My wife had a Plaid and lost a good 30% after the first year. Gone!

They don't make sense financially

I typically buy used so I'll try and find a used one. I also buy and own vehicles for 10+ years (current truck is a 2015) so depreciation doesn't mean much to me.

Looks like I will save a couple hundred on gas every month.  It will take 2-3 years to make up the price difference.

Just to be clear Biden and the other Dems focked up trying to force these on people. If you want a gas car have at it.

My only concern is taking it to the UP for deer camp. That's a 500+ mile drive and I don't want to sit at a station charging for 2 hours. Other than that it fits all my other needs

EVs definitely have their place. Ideal for people who don't go far from home for work, shopping, etc. I travel all over the State and we do a lot of road trips. It doesn't make much sense for us.

I don't knock anyone for going with an EV, it's just not for everyone. The mandates were ridiculous.

For sure any long range travel is a nonstarter with EVs right now.

Why doesn't anyone call out @The Real timschochet call to violence?

Very underhanded way to try and sell a company. Right out of the democrat play book. They did the same thing to black business owners.

Using terrorism to try and get a person to sell a company is violence.

Huh? You said me and a few other citizens should be deported because we disagree with you.  I’d say that’s violent.

Dude in Palm Beach drove his car up on the sidewalk to disrupt some Tesla protesters ... no injuries or deaths reported.

However ...

the headlines: "MAN DRIVES TRUCK INTO CROWD AT TESLA DEALERSHIP"

But ...

When it's an attack that kills people, carried out by nefarious political/religious groups, it's:

"TRUCK CRASHES INTO CROWD AT PARADE"

😅

Think I will stick to the original plan and get a Lucid in a couple years.
