Which lineup will score better in a 1pt PPR

Recommended Posts

Its only an 8 man league so thats why these guys are available and lineups are stacked but hey it is what it is. Its 1pt ppr no flex and non keeper. 1pt 10yd rush/rec and 6pts td. I have the 6th pick overall and am hoping to grab spiller, I know the two guys drafting behind me are going rb-wr with their first two picks which may have Richardson falling to me. I dont need analysis, all I'm looking for in an answer is simply which lineup will be the more consistent higher scoring. Thanks

Lineup 1

Spiller

Richardson

White or Cobb

V.Jackson

Lineup 2

Spiller

Morris

Dez

V.Jackson

I'm going to buck the trend and go with #1, but it's damn close.

Using some reasonable projections for both scenarios:

Trich 1200/10 + 35/300/1 = 250

White 80/1200/7 = 240

Total = 490

Morris 1200/8 + 10/80/0 = 190

Dez 90/1300/10 = 280

Total = 470

Obviously it depends on what your own projections for these players but the numbers I used above come down to just over 1 pt per week difference between the two scenarios. Now Dez could easily put up 100/1600/15 this season, who knows. And Trich could easily run for 1600/15 and catch another 40/500, right? I think it comes down to which player you like better. Who do you wanna root for every week and which of Dez/Trich do you think has the best shot at outperforming their projections?

I like lineup #1 for a ppr league myself.

White or Cobb should be money in ppr as they seem to be the favored targets of damn good QB's and so far both are more reliable week to week than Dez (that said Dez is going to most likely have a monster year it will just come down to injuries with him). So the falloff at WR isn't that great.

It really comes down to the pass catching capability of your #2RB and Morris loses you a lot of points here but it is awfully close. Any chance you could get Bush or Sproles at RB? One of them in combo with Spiller would be just dominating in ppr.

EDIT: I am an idiot if #1 is Trent Richardson it is clearly better thats who your implying it is right? He is going to catch a ton of passes and give similar numbers to Morris on the ground. There is no way he would be available in the 2nd round though right?
