BTL99 34 Posted September 10, 2013 For those of you familiar with ESPN's site, they have a scoring option to add bonus point for QBs when they hit 300+ yards and 400+ yards of passing. They do the same thing with WRs and RBs with 100 and 200 yards rec and rush. But I noticed that it doesn't give points for both. For example, Peyton and Anquan only received the bonus for the 400yard and 200yard performance, they got a zero for the 300 and 100 part of their yards. So basically there is no point to allow the option for anything other than the 300 and the 100 because if you actually reach the 400 or the 200, the 300 and the 100 get zeroed out. Definitely a bad glitch and scoring setup on their part.
bucky1235 0 Posted September 10, 2013 Bonus categories do not stack. So no, not a glitch.
Djgb13 2,338 Posted September 10, 2013 Bonus categories do not stack. So no, not a glitch. This. If you only hit 100 yards receiving you would have received the bonus. But you hit the 200 yards so you get that bonus. You dont get both
BTL99 34 Posted September 10, 2013 Ok, so then why have more than one category? Just add in the bonus for the 300 or the 100 and then that covers all. If the QB goes for 400 or 500 then the over 300 bonus will cover it. Same with the 100 rush/rec category. If the RB rushes for 200 yards, the bonus for the over 100 yards rushing will cover it. If they are intended to not stack, then it is just a design flaw by ESPN's web designer. The over 400 and over 200 should not even be available options. bucky1235 0 Posted September 10, 2013 Keep in mind I have no idea how your league is set up. But, how it SHOULD work is that the 400 yard bonus should be worth more than a 300 yard bonus.

Well, one league there is a 2pt bonus at 300 and 400 but only the 400 yard bonus came thru. Then in another league there is a 5pt bonus at 300 and 400 but on the 400 bonus came thru. This system definitely is flawed.
bucky1235 0 Posted September 10, 2013 No. If you're saying that 300 yard bonuses and 400 yard bonuses are each 2 pts, then it's your commissioner's fault. ESPN clearly states that their bonuses do not stack.

ESPN clearly states that their bonuses do not stack. Ok, but the way it is presented comes across as if you would get 2 points for achieving each goal. It makes no sense that the 400 yard bonus would trump the 300 yard bonus.
