Baker Boy 1,699 Posted October 28, 2014 Hillary doesn't actually believe anything she says and she's far from a liberal. She has stated that politically she is a Progressive. Buyer beware!
rholio 339 Posted October 28, 2014 I'm assuming she means that giving $$$ in the form of tax breaks to corporations and businesses doesn't create jobs, and I agree. She was talking about trickle down economics not working, but that is a horrible sound bite. Right up there with "No new taxes.". Hopefully, the Republican party runs it everywhere and Hillary loses the nomination / decides not to run for President.

NorthernVike 2,086 Posted October 28, 2014 I'm assuming she means that giving $$$ in the form of tax breaks to corporations and businesses doesn't create jobs, and I agree. Then why wouldn't she say that?
porkbutt 893 Posted October 28, 2014 Then why wouldn't she say that? mdc always gives politicians on both sides the benefit of the doubt and assumes what they really meant to say
MDC 7,407 Posted October 28, 2014 Then why wouldn't she say that? Because politicians on both sides of the aisle give hundreds of hours of speeches and the other side sits around parsing all these clips looking for the 5-second sound bite that can be deliberately misinterpreted and then push those clips out there and count on the useful idiots in their party getting all fake outrage-y about it. HTH.

MDC 7,407 Posted October 28, 2014 Trolling, arguing, whatever you want to call it. I am not trolling either. I seriously dot think Hillary is unaware that companies hire people. I really do think she was I articulately making a point about trickle down economics.

IGotWorms 4,058 Posted October 28, 2014 Sorry. I apologize for posting my opinion. Do you want to discuss the substance of the post? Obviously corporations do create jobs so if Hilary was saying otherwise she is wrong. But I also think we are where we are today as a result of giving trickle down economics near-theological reverence for 30+ years without asking whether there were some serious sustainability issues with the model.
