Magnificent Bastard 192 Posted July 23, 2015 Tone? He's only won 2 playoff games - not much arguing that.... He hasn't been as lucky as Eli Dilfer - hopefully that changes. Next time he comes running out of the tunnel after an injury and puts himself back in, tell him it's a good idea to win the game. Especially when Colt McCoy is the other QB. And tell him not to go to Cabo before a playoff game.
NewbieJr 541 Posted July 23, 2015 Good point - hard to argue that... Of course had he had a defense at all - he prolly doesn't need that call. I do remember 38-27, that was pretty good. That's funny. I remember 24-
Cruzer 1,996 Posted July 23, 2015 Landed bass? LOLOL You're getting humiliated. Your team's QB is known as the biggest choker in the league. And all of your flailing is doing nothing to say otherwise. I was actually angling for MB at the beginning. But as usual, you had to butt in and try and take over a thread - with the usual macho, ignorant bravado nonsense that your reputation is known for. Hell, I didn't even want you - you practically jumped in the boat, didn't even have to waste a worm......... I will help you out... Ever seen me put smiley faces at the end of ever post? Uh, no - it's called fishing Einstein.
Cruzer 1,996 Posted July 23, 2015 That's funny. I remember 24-22 I would too - if I recall, we still won the division - thanks to the ass beating at the Linc.
tanatastic 2,062 Posted July 23, 2015 I haven't landed this many bass since I was 10. Romo has choked some, yes. He's also been pretty damn good - especially of late. He finally has some real help around him on both sides of the ball - we'll see how it goes. Hes been better than good, hes been great...in the regular season wich most players will tell you is near irrelevant. Heck Tom Brady doesnt even start paying attention til the playoffs start, thats the mentality of the championship guys. I hope he can put together a good playoff run. He doesnt even need to win a SB, just making a champ game would help his legacy at this point. you need ot take baby steps when talking about this level of futility. I like Tony and enjoy drafting him in fantasy. LOL angling. I like that. Hooking Newbie is usually bad for the boat, he rocks it alot with that size. I tend to get caught up too but its just fun to debate.

edjr 6,898 Posted July 23, 2015 It would be good for the NFL for the Cowboys to win or at least make a run with Romo.
NewbieJr 541 Posted July 23, 2015 And in true Newbs fashion - you claim victory in the face of foolishness.... I guess it comes with being an Iggles fan. Still waiting for you to name the huge clutch Romo moment. See? You had your ass handed to you. That's what the argument was about all along. Not smiles at the end of sentences. Romo is the league's biggest choker. It's been his reputation for years. And after a great regular season, he was one and done again this past year. He's just horrible when the chips are down. So yes, I claim victory. A landslide victory. But it wasn't exactly the toughest of topics. If I had to argue on the side of Romo being clutch, I'd have gotten destroyed too. NewbieJr 541 Posted July 23, 2015 It would be good for the NFL for the Cowboys to win or at least make a run with Romo. If they can get all of their outlaws and low character guys to all stay out of trouble, they could make a run. They have a roster that looks like America's Most Wanted, but there's a ton of talent. edjr 6,898 Posted July 23, 2015 I don't understand this. cruzer is one of the nicest fellas on the board and I sensed he was trolling MB. Not even the biggest (sane) cowboy nutswinger can honestly compare Romo to E. Manning.

Cruzer 1,996 Posted July 23, 2015 Was it a good memory? Because I sure as hell only remember fumbles and interceptions when the chips were down. I believe you - its a symptom commonly associated with selective memory... I do seem to remember a 34-14 thumping of the Eagles in a playoff game. A game where Romo went 23 of 35, 244 yards, 2 tds and a 105 qb rating... I didn't count all the picks and fumbles though - I'm sure there were like 10. I've openly tried to get to your side - but it just doesn't add up. You beat your chest and toss out shots, but you never really produce anything to substantiate the claim. I guess the act is kind of like a diversion - if you make a loud enough scene and yell "wolf', nobody will notice the lack of actual evidence.

Not even the biggest (sane) cowboy nutswinger can honestly compare Romo to E. Manning. Eh I actually respect the comparison. To the untrained and dim witted eye Romo is superior because of his regular season end of year stats. Of course savvy analysts know theres alot more that goes into judging a qb legacy. Plus Eli has had good numbers himself, so he isnt some slouch. Id even say Romo has more talent than Eli. But Eli still has to be ranked higher in terms of overall ranking. One who saw and heard all of the proof (which you haven't). It doesn't have to 'add up' to you. You don't count. You weren't there when he was beating her ass or during the trial. The case got thrown out because she mysteriously disappeared. Having money is a wonderful thing.

He's also been a horrible qb at times. That being said, you have to still give him credit. That also being said, I'd rather have Romo over him today.

I even saw the Ray Rice video and I still think she did something to make him do it. He didn't just decide out of the blue to smack her. again, not justifying it, complete coward. I just have this innate ability to give almost everyone to over look what they did.
