Rocko1959 1 Posted September 27, 2015 We play in a 10 team PPR league. I have been offered this deal by a guy who already has A. Rodgers & James Jones, as you can tell he is heavy on Green Bay. We start a combo of 3 WR's & 3 RB's or 4 WR's & 2 RB's. I have always started 4 WR's and here is who I have: QB E. Manning - Starter S. Bradford - Bench Warmer WR --- TE's are grouped as Wr's - No tight end posistion O. Beckham R. Cobb J. Matthews T. Williams T. Kelce A. Cooper He has offered C. Palmer, John Brown & Brandon Marshall for Cobb & Bradford I don't have to do this deal but to me in looks like a upgrade in QB, swap for Marshall & Cobb and a throw in. I would appreciate your input on this and I will also answer your post.
j0ker 3 Posted September 27, 2015 I would do it. Palmer is equal to Eli and right now an upgrade to him. John Brown is nothing to scoff at and I think he does well as long as Palmer is healthy. Marshall for Cobb I like too. Rodgers likes to spread the ball around and if Lacy, Adams, or the tight end has a huge day your guy is going to be hurting getting nothing from Cobb or Jones. Marshall could be big starting now. He had a great game last week and is starting to click with Fitz. Also with Decker hampered he should see more targets. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=448824
Byrdman5 104 Posted September 27, 2015 I'm curious on who u are going to drop to make this deal. Marshall and Cobb are pretty close, slight edge to Cobb. Palmer is a nice QB u can play matchups with him and Eli. I'm leaning towards yes.
The Coach 0 Posted September 27, 2015 Manning and Palmer close so far with Eli playing well. Will that continue?? I like cobb better than Marshall for the long haul- better QB will get healthy You can play Amari or Kelce in the spot you would play Brown with similar production I like Cobb better than what your L/U would be after- I would hold http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=448830

About the actual value of the trade. IMO Palmer >> Eli... Palmer is on fire and no reason to think that ends except injury... he's some insane record (15-2) as a starter in his last 17 games and has thrown 34 TD's and just 13 INT's in those games (passer rating of 99) http://www.azcardinals.com/news-and-events/article-2/Carson-Palmer-Reaches-Another-Level/db6aee12-5bbf-4c83-b028-cf6a4666d3df Injury is your only worry--have a good backup ready. That's a ton better than Eli IMO. I think Cobb > B Marshall.. but not by a ton (mostly because of Rogers vs Fitz). I'd do this quickly before he wakes up.... but figure out who to drop.
