Agreed on that play, but otherwise I was really impressed with how he and the Redskins offense performed tonight. Anyone expecting the Seahawks to just roll over them in the first round may be in for a disappointment.

Big Guy 1,421 Posted December 27, 2015 So.....technically, both the Eagles & Giants are eliminated less than a week after the Cowboys were, what a sorry bunch this year. Congrats to the Redskins!
Magnificent Bastard 192 Posted December 27, 2015 So.....technically, both the Eagles & Giants are eliminated less than a week after the Cowboys were, what a sorry bunch this year. Congrats to the Redskins! If form holds, it's the Giants turn to win the division next year. I still think Dallas has the most talent, but now Washington looks to finally have some stability at QB. Bradford doesnt scare, and Chip may have gone too far. Giants have to upgrade everywhere on defense to compete. Dallas will have a decent backup next year at QB, you can bank on that. Probably a good RB too.

MDC 7,892 Posted December 27, 2015 I have to admit I really didn't believe the Skins would be last man standing based on the culture around that team in the past but they earned it. Cousins and reed really have been the difference this year. Congrats to the Skins and I will be rooting for them in the wild card round. As for the Eagles this team is just bad and has serious needs on the OL, at receiver and across the D. I'm not sure where they go from here but I expect an eventful offseason. They should probably lose to NY to get a better draft pick.

There have been rumors that Cowher is interested.I have always thought coach Cowher was killing time on TV waiting for the chance to coach the NY football Giants. I believe he has close ties to the Mara family. Outside of that no clue.

Wouldn't surprise me to see the Eagles trade out. Chip likes to do things his way b
Big Guy 1,421 Posted December 27, 2015 Not NFC Least but....was focking GREAT seeing the Panthers lose today. Not sure what was my favorite part, Cam getting pummeled or Cam fumbling late.

jerryskids 7,088 Posted December 28, 2015 a lot...online is all beat up. D is average at best And Rodgers has played like crap this year. I haven't watched Rodgers all year but I didn't think he was the problem today. Also the GB defense was fine. Plus you lost your left tackle I think? But the WRs don't scare anyone; the only success they had was with Jones on Bethel who was only playing because Mathieu and Rashard Johnson are out. And the running game is either fat Eddie or fumbling Starks.

A bad INT...missed passes, and pump fake and holding the ball too long behind a weak oline. The D was down on the list of their problems today. Oline was down to backups at RT, LT, and C at one point.

His INT in the end zone was maybe the backbreaker that sealed the game, but I personally wouldn't blame him for the sack/fumbles - those are hard to predict and he was hit hard. Lots of top teams lost today: Carolina, NE, PITT. Football is tough to win every week.

jerryskids 7,088 Posted December 28, 2015 They look great...fun to cheer for too. I've got to tell you, with Arians as coach and Steve Keim as GM, we are in rarified air unlike any we've experienced here -- a team which is contending for a championship now and which should continue to do so for years to come. Magnificent Bastard 192 Posted December 28, 2015 That was not good. I guess Coughlin really is gone, eh? Hope not, but it looks that way. I'm not that excited about starting over with a 35 year old QB, but 4 years and no playoffs is hard to defend. The GM is more to blame than him, but I don't think he is going anywhere. Scot Mccloughan, Bruce Allen and Jay Gruden are all at least 2nd generation football men. Makes a huge difference. The perception of the culture outside of DC is way different than inside. FO in place, QB in place, HC in place. The future is bright, especially when considering the noticeable flaws in the the rest of the NFC East. The Giants are about to get rid of a HOF coach. Chip Kelly's GMing is undermining his coaching. Dallas is a trainwreck without their QB, and he can't have many hits left. There is little doubt that the Skins will be the pre-season pick to win the division.

My only beef with the Cardinals is their name, logo, persona. It's not like they have a winning tradition or something, and Cardinals aren't really a native bird, it's just dumb. Gruden should be congratulated for making the decision to hand the reigns over to Cousins. That was the move that made all the difference. Prior to this season the Skins were perceived as a circus with a bad lockerroom and meddling owner and I think that perception was well earned.
cbfalcon 827 Posted December 28, 2015 This thread was aptly named, but in a twist, I think it sets up as a very high quality division next season. With Cousins having another year's experience under his belt in Washington, if Romo can stay healthy, and if the Giants make the right coaching change, I believe all 3 of those teams are in the 8-11 win category next season.......And the Eagles are a wild card. They could suck, or they could make the right moves and be decent as well.
