AS break Supplemental

Recommended Posts

If we don't have any movement on this by 3pm Eastern Time then maybe but we do have all of today and tomorrow to get through this 1 round.

Should not be that difficult.

My bad. Was thinking games started back up on Thursday not Friday. I agree with you now that I have that straight.

Or at least send him an email. It worked in the first round.

Time for a clock???

2.08 - Dodgers - 1:00 pm Eastern
2.09 - Rays - 2:00
2.10 - Jays - 3:00
2.11 - Rangers - 4:00
2.12 - Royals - 5:00
2.13 - Indians - 6:00
2.14 - Redsox - 7:00
2.01 - Cubs 8:00

That's 10-5 West Coast. Not too early or too late. Allows time for owners to adjust moves tonight or tomorrow before games resume and any trading to formulate and process.

Posty are you making Ted's second pick as well? I know you helped him with his first one. Do you still have a list to work with so we can move forward?

I vote yes as well. So that means White Wonder is on the clock until 2:00 Eastern at this point. Who makes the final call on this though? Commish???

Uh oh...

In preparation for the upcoming Fantasy Football season, we'll be performing scheduled maintenance on 7/14 starting around 12PM PDT. Roster edits, trades, and some other functionality will be temporarily unavailable.

I am not excited about my pick. Selecting an injured player when one of my sup picks the first time ended up on the injury list is not an exciting prospect but it is probably my biggest need fill that has a certain projection of quality return when healthy. Anyone else I was interested in for need had even more questions of actual return of investment. There are certainly BPA on my board but to select a bench player or someone more to alternative day-to-day just will be frustrating when I don't pick the right one.

I had Zimmerman on my SP list incase pitchers flew off the board before me in round 1. Fortunately I ended up with my 2nd choice in verlander... but I would have taken Zimmerman in round 2 and been happy to stash considering what's left

I will definitely have players available for trade no matter who I end up picking as it is all depth at this point. If anyone is interested in 2-for-1 type deals go ahead and message me, especially if you need a player I could draft.

am i the only one a little surprised that no one drafted trevor story? I thought he might be my round 1 pick until I took a harder look at Nunez and felt I could get him round 2... then as round 2 approached I decided I liked Nunez more than story for the categories I needed help in and the option to insure Evan Longoria at 3rd.

everyone thing he tails off? or was it more of a thing where most teams have pretty solid shortstops?

I think he will tail off some but would still have been a solid pick. His average is a little lower than some might like though.

Gotz Manny. Really wasn't even considering offense in this supplemental.

in our scoring system though, low average doesn't kill you. Its really only reflected in singles. As is evidence by his low singles numbers... but he still is solid in runs, rbi, homers and doubles.

i really thought he would be a top 5 pick and then i dont even draft him myself in round 2. Im thinking it was more of a teams needs issue.

I think you are right, it's more of a teams needs issue. I was honestly considering Braun for my first round pick, but knew I needed SP badly. At the end of the first, he was my top option on second round, but I was sure he'd be gone by 2.11. Surprised that he was still around at my selection, and then I decided to go for Yelich instead since I felt okay on power. My potential first round pick goes at 2.13.

Story is likely positional need for most. For me as well I think he'll trail off.

With all the trade talk I was hoping Bruce might go undrafted as he's been an often talked about target for the Jays. Not that he is a big difference in what I have but he would have been a nice "free" 2nd half pick up

The last thing I needed was another OF, but there weren't any players I felt would significantly upgrade me anywhere at that point so I went best available.

Guys, I hate to do this, but I'm going to need to change my supplemental picks. I was sold abilla goods. First Pomeranz goes from facing pitchers in a spacious, laid back ballpark to muscular AL East lineups in the bandbox that is Fenway, and now both Chapman and Miller are traded out from under Betances, turning my holds guy into a closer.

WW, if you'd please unwind the supplemental back to 1.06 as soon as possible, I'd appreciate it. I'll have my pick ready within a couple of hours.
