You're 100 times faster than me. My only internet choices are Centurylink, which I have, and satellite internet. Definitely one of the drawbacks of living in the country.

I usually use Monkey Brains in SF for this test.

I'm usually around 150 mbps DL (xfinity / comcast)

Strangely enough, I just saw something there that said the swiftest DL in the country was at 524 or something close to that.

What part of the country do you reside in, Tubby?

I don't know what that means but when I pressed the test here are my results:

Download: 94.64 Mbps

Upload: 94.94 Mbps

Feel free to tell me what that is and if mine is good.

I'm in ND, in a relatively small town, in the middle of nowhere.

Company is called BEK Communications. They received a grant from someone or another to build a fiber optic network in this particular city. So...yeah...I used to have Century Link DSL, which was like...7gbps tops, of which, delivered was like 5500 or so.

So yeah...fiber optic from where ever the fock it comes from, right to our door. Incumbent cable company has lost like fock...I dunno...has gotta be every person in this city other than the old focks who are happy with their 13 basic channels and don't like this newfangled technology. (Incumbent cable offered a lot of channels also, but, their internet sucked.) Anyone with internet, jumped ship. I dropped DirecTV for these guys. No regrets...other than no Sunday Ticket. But I do get Redzone...so...I'm okay.

Basic is 100 gbps, if you add phone service, thats another 100gbs for free, if you add TV, its another 100, and if you have all 3, you get another 100.

I was getting 400, then got a letter in the mail saying "Congrats...we upped it to 500 gbps.

New record:

16.9 download speed. Of course, that's through a VPN server in Singapore too.

I will have to have the roommate go b!tch at china unicom. We are paying for much faster than that.

Well, it is a well-know site, but the only drawback, it doesn't show a lot of information. For example, if I have a website, I can't test the performance and do website speed test. Apart of that, it is a good website.

That’s what I get on the hard wired computer in the house. WiFi one in the garage is 160 down 20 up

No focking way. Calling BS.

Well.  The only way I can prove it guess, is come to my city.   Order service.

And, why would someone lie about that? Lol. "Yeah...my internet is faster than yours"

We have BEK Communications.  Some of the fastest internet speeds in the US.  Its just fiber optic cable.  A few years ago they got a grant from either the city, state or national or both...to install fiber.  The whole town was tore up.  Digging and burying everywhere.   They dug line directly to any house that wanted it.  (now you have to pay big to do it if you didn't do it during their build out phase or whatever.

The incumbent company, Cable Services, was left with "crumbs". I'm surprised they are still in business. Only the old folks have them I think.
