LunaTick 30 Posted October 23, 2016 Cobb was targeted plenty, missed a couple of td chance Devonta Adams scored a couple of times. Montgomery made a great impact. Jordy Nelson has 1 reception for 9 yards versus a diseased Bears team. On a team that focused on its passing game to win. What gives? What is the story? I find the silence on the issue annoying. Larry David 20 Posted October 23, 2016 My thoughts are that Thursday night games suck. Every player I've had going on a Thursday night this year has bombed. Most recent - Cameron Meredith.
bandrus1 413 Posted October 23, 2016 There is a problem... Rodgers threw 50 something times and he had 4 targets.... I doubt you will get any value out of him but there is an issue
GornFishin' 57 Posted October 23, 2016 Just one game. But Cobb has now gone ahead of him in fantasy scoring, which is what I hoped when drafting him. Nelson will still have big games, but seems to not have recovered as well yet from his knee surgery as was publicised. Seems to have lost a yard or two. Might benefit from the squeaky wheel syndrome next week vs Atlanta,
tanatastic 2,062 Posted October 23, 2016 A guy traded Marvin Jones and Hill for Nelson today.
bfros 53 Posted October 23, 2016 If you watched the game, two things happened: 1) Rodgers was looking to get the ball out quickly. HIs first reads were almost always short and intermediate routes. This isn't what Jordy runs. Only once did he air it out to Jordy and he underthrew him. 2) the Bears did a good job sticking on him. Jordy rarely had separation. I heard some stat mentioned on a FF podcast that listed the average distance each WR was from the nearet defender at the point at which Rodgers threw the ball. Jordy had the smallest margin of separation. He just wasn't open. This inability to separate does make me wonder if either he's not quite back to form or if Rodgers is just not seeing him when he gets open. I still love Jordy and I'm trying to buy low right now. StrikeForce 11 Posted October 23, 2016 My thoughts are that 1 catch isn't gonna win many fantasy games.
Ray_T 753 Posted October 23, 2016 My thought: Hes still recovering from a torn ACL. He's not gonna have the burst, acceleration and change of direction he's used to having. So he will not gain the level of separation he normally gets. This will get better with time, but he will still perform against weaker opposition. I'd consider him a WR2 with some upside. He will return to WR1 territory late in the year or early next year. If you are looking for a bargain in next year's draft, here it is.

Dsausage 36 Posted October 23, 2016 My thoughts: A rodge is still a great QB who makes recievers look good. Problem is both Jordy and Cobb are older and just "names" now. This is the year of the young guard for GB. That kid Ty Monty makes Cobb look like hes running in mud. Jordy has lost a step and for a guy who used his physicality to get open and make plays from the jump this will be a fatal blow. Sell high- Nelson is a meddling WR 2 here on in and will fade out of the league in 2 years. Sorry.
weepaws 3,191 Posted October 23, 2016 Cobb has had three good games in a roll , I think his game as actually picked up.

erikthebassist 41 Posted October 23, 2016 I have to believe he wasn't feeling well. He looked sluggish, slow off the line, wasn't working hard at all. Something tells me he was sick and dehydrated and just out there as a decoy. Maybe he was hungover, who knows. I'm an owner, and I'm not panicking yet, but if he has another game like that next week, I'll have to think about benching him.
