My big reasons for not drinking more are that I just can't handle it while also being productive at work. And now that I'm a dad I don't ever really drink so much that I wouldn't be able to handle an emergency. You probably spend as much as me if not more. When I go out without wife drop $60-$80. With her easily $150.00. Home drink Smirnoff ($22.99 per bottle). Buy Miller Lite buy the pallet with friends. Get 36 packs for $21.00 no tax not deposit. Retails at $28.75 each. Huge savings. Also get shock tops apple crisp wheat at a buck a 16 oz can. Drink that like water. Also I do not get hungover or feel like poop. Drive to subway and take F train to NYC. Life is fun. But I do wonder how you can find that amount of time to drink while also being a responsible dad, and whether you're setting a bad example for them? But mostly you should quit for your family's sake. Just hosted a party for my daughter and ten of her friends at the house before they left to go to a homecoming dance. Why spend a shitload of money when they can have the hostess with the mostess. They had a great time. Now, I'm just waiting for them to come home from the dance. They are having coffee and beignets after. To funny. Plus.. 6-8 beers a night. That is hard to believe. Maybe I underestimate you. Really not that hard to believe. Depending upon time frame. I've seen guys like me drink a case over a 24 hour period and mix many ounces of vodka and be able to walk and talk without problems. Handling alcohol consumption is a constitutional thing.
