Gurley has sunk many boats this season, including one of mine.

 

In 6 leagues, and owned him in 3. Managed playoffs in 5 leagues, including 2 that I owned him in......but just barely. Without weekly in-season management and some favorable trades, I would have missed out in those 2 also. A first round bust is very difficult to recover from.

^^^^Those are the seasons that are the toughest on a FF player in my opinion. Not the seasons when you take a bust in the first round or are decimated by injuries, but when you do everything right and still get screwed. In one league, I was the second highest scorer, only 25 points off the first place team. I barely get in at 7-6 while the first place team loses once and gets a first round bye. You can always overcome first round busts and injuries if you draft well in the late rounds, work the WW and make some timely trades. But those weeks when your team goes off and you would've beaten every one else in the league but the person you just happened to be facing that week is enough to drive any FF player to the edge.

Went 6-7. Probably the most disappointed I've ever been in a team. It was the start that wilson and hopkins had. The first 7 games of the season I lost 4 games. All 4 were by less than 10 points in each game.

one of good good buddies' team lost all of his 3 starting WRs to injury AND has the most point scored against so is already out of the playoffs, but glad they are because they're finally hitting their stride and would be a dangerous out.

Tat's a lot of underperformance from early round picks.

A team in my league made it with Gurley but he also had D Murray. He finished 8th in pts and was in position for a bye up until the last week. The last place team had only 2 wins and was 6th out of 10 in pts.

Through the first 6-7 games I was 1-5 and had the top ranked team week in and week out through Fantasy Pros. After that they rankings caught up to reality but I went 5-0 the next stretch, then my team put up 2 70-80 point games in must win scenarios against the best teams in the league. Obviously I lost.
