mookie86mets 8 Posted December 9, 2016 If he plays is he a decoy? Probably to early to tell. Might have to start Moncrief for safety.

weepaws 3,191 Posted December 9, 2016 His he going to play ? I'm not to sure he will. Makes it a tough situation.
jimaveli 119 Posted December 9, 2016 Remember last year. It was week 16. Julio was playing the Panthers. Josh Norman had a good short history of making things tough on Julio. Folks were struggling with the start/sit call. And then... https://www.google.com/amp/www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/atlanta-falcons-carolina-panthers-julio-jones-josh-norman-deandre-hopkins-122715.amp.html?client=safari

jimaveli 119 Posted December 9, 2016 Unless there'sn a invasive report that really speaks to him being limited this weekend, you can't sit a Julio for some obviously shaky option. The situation certainly sucks but it is still a heavy risk to sit a guy like Julio without a better/safe option or confidence that he'll do something close to nothing. Kent 228 Posted December 9, 2016 Are you kidding? You don't bench Julio. Sure you can. Half his games are duds.
tanatastic 2,062 Posted December 9, 2016 Are you kidding? You don't bench Julio. Especially not during the 4 games this year under 4 points he's had.
wezvidz 2 Posted December 9, 2016 Really sucks. I hope he's just out if he's hurt so I can fire up Gabriel or Britt or Adams instead. Decoy would really suck.
polecatt 478 Posted December 9, 2016 Especially not during the 4 games this year under 4 points he's had. Oh, let me guess you called all of them. Look at what he's done in the other 8 games. He's playing a soft D this week too.
dschddny 0 Posted December 9, 2016 The latest is that he's going to be a game-time decision! I'm trying to decide what to do now. I could just roll with Moncrief. Or if i want to wait out the game-time decision (in the late game Sunday), I can pick up a WR who is also playing late as a backup plan. the best available would be Hogan (playing Monday night). Thoughts?
Kent 228 Posted December 9, 2016 Two rules. 1. Never bench Julio. 2. Never start guys with turf toe.

jimaveli 119 Posted December 9, 2016 Sit him. The info is stacked up against him showing up and being ready to roll/awesome.

dcgangstas 41 Posted December 9, 2016 FWIW from Rotoworld: D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution tweeted Friday that he is not anticipating Julio Jones (toe, questionable) will play in Week 14 against the Rams.
SpenceToons 70 Posted December 9, 2016 As has been discussed, the condition of Jones and Sanu is a green light for Gabriel, but I'm wondering if this doesn't also bump up the outlook for Tevin Coleman who flashed some receiving chops earlier in the year. I'm considering flexing Gabriel but am still leaning towards starting Doug Martin (though I'm not thrilled with the latest coachspeak nor the approaching footsteps of Rodgers and Sims) over Coleman as my RB2. weepaws 3,191 Posted December 10, 2016 I like both Coleman whom I'm starting in a flex postion. Don't own Gabriel but if had him I would find a spot for him this weekend.
minuteofdecay 5 Posted December 10, 2016 I like both Coleman whom I'm starting in a flex postion. Don't own Gabriel but if had him I would find a spot for him this weekend. Would u go Coleman over forte? Forte has a dream matchup vs 49ers but gosh he has been almost horrible this year.
wezvidz 2 Posted December 10, 2016 Sanu is officially OUT. Julio gametime. I have Julio, Britt, and Gabriel. If Julio is out it's definitely Gabriel right?? Gabriel even if Julio goes? That's tougher.

SpenceToons 70 Posted December 10, 2016 There is a good comment about Gabriel being better if Jones goes. I think an active Jones actually helps Gabriel because Jones will still be respected. I read that too (in the Week 14 Waiver Wire WRs thread) and it was certainly food for thought. However, I'll throw in a counterpoint. While Jeremy Maclin is no Julio Jones and Taylor Gabriel may be no Tyreek Hill, Hill had two of his greater games this season while Maclin was out. A year or two ago, Golden Tate was known for having his best production in games when Megatron was out. More attention from the defense can be balanced by having a greater target share. kwolf68 13 Posted December 10, 2016 This is pretty good. The guy I'm competing with for my division has Julio and the guy I'm playing against has Matt Ryan. Ryan is very good, but the less weapons at his disposal the better I like it.
ryansee 0 Posted December 10, 2016 I have Julio and my opponent this week has Matt Ryan. I could pick up Gabriel right now, but would you play Gabriel or Stefon Diggs (who is againt JAX this week)?
kwolf68 13 Posted December 10, 2016 I have Julio and my opponent this week has Matt Ryan. I could pick up Gabriel right now, but would you play Gabriel or Stefon Diggs (who is againt JAX this week)? WoW. Tough call. I am not sure that Gabriel pickup much more, his job will probably be the same (working the slot). I also think NO Jones would direct more attention at him. Although he is pretty dynamic. As far as Diggs, In only ONE Of Diggs games he played did he receive less than 7 targets. However, not sure if Diggs has much upside. Against the stronger pass defenses Diggs, while OK, had his weaker games. Jags rank as PD #2, not sure how or why, but you have to at least respect that. So both receivers have some upside and drawbacks. I'd tentatively go with Diggs.
giraldi02 474 Posted December 10, 2016 In the event Julio plays, Gabriel would likely get EJ Gaines in coverage a majority of the time. Gaines blows. Think Matt Ryan could be a solid play this week regardless of how productive Julio is. Of course, watch Aldrick Robinson blow up and screw everyone lol
weepaws 3,191 Posted December 10, 2016 I would go with Forte who should receive a lot of work this weekend. I would go with Diggs over Gabriel in a ppr league. In a standard I like Gabriel chances on scoring a td this weekend.
wezvidz 2 Posted December 10, 2016 Now there's word it's very unlikely Julio plays. Boy this sucks. Need to start 3 of Moncrief/Mitchell/Gabriel (my current 3) with Cobb/Adams/Britt as options. Completely lost. Somehow FFToday's rankings have Adams/Britt as my 2 best with Moncrief=Mitchell=Gabriel. This week sure is a dart throw.
weepaws 3,191 Posted December 10, 2016 I do like Britt this weekend , and I'm starting him. Also like Adams this weekend, Seahawks can't cover all three of the Packers Wr.
