BTL99 Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 Manning at home vs Detroit or Mariota on the road vs the Chiefs? I think everyones initial gut feeling is to play Eli, but I think Marcus could have a really good game. Thoughts? Quote
polecatt Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 I don't think I trust Mariota enough yet to trust him over Luck and Eli. So I would go with Eli. Actually I would probably start Luck if healthy. Quote

Marshall Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 Just wanted to mention what a trip it is to see Luck and Manning together in the topic title. I felt like I was in the wayback machine - until I remembered Eli. Doh-eth! 1 Quote
polecatt Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 So many negative things for Luck this week. I think he is gonna get killed. I wouldn't blame you if you played Eli. 1 Quote
fanfootballtn Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 So many negative things for Luck this week. I think he is gonna get killed. Man do I agree with you. Three starting O-linemen and Moncrief are out. Allen is questionable and they are playing Minnesota so I'm benching him for Mariota. The only thing I don't like about Mariota's match up is he playing in the cold. 1 Quote
BTL99 Posted December 18, 2016 Author Posted December 18, 2016 Great input. Still deciding. Thanks. Quote
handbanana Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Mariota at KC is brutal in that weather in that field I think. As much as it sucks, I would play Eli. I dropped Stafford and picked up Flacco for this week's playoff game which scares the outta me. And I'm leaving Mariota on my bench and will use him next week either in the finals or for 3rd/4th place. Ugh 1 Quote
fanfootballtn Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 I just asked Alexa what's the temperature for tomorrow in KC and she said a high of 13 and a low of 6. That's worst than playing in Green Bay. I'm having 2nd thoughts about starting Mariota. https://weather.com/gameday-forecast/news/nfl-football-forecasts-week-15-dec-2016 1 Quote
patweisers44 Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Based on weather for mariota and eli, i would go with luck and not think twice. Quote
thegame Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 I've got bith Mariotta and smith pa,hung in those same hellish conditions. Think I'll stay with Luck and his talent at least in a dome. 1 Quote
BTL99 Posted December 18, 2016 Author Posted December 18, 2016 Damn man, you guys got me second guessing my decision to bench Luck because of that bad weather. I can't decide. So frustrating. Quote
Loaded Box Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Haha, yea this thread has me reconsidering my use of Mariota as well. Unfortunately I'd have to turn to Bortles in that league. But ya, you may want to consider throwing Luck back into your starting lineup Quote
BTL99 Posted December 18, 2016 Author Posted December 18, 2016 The weather in New York is actually the worst of all the games. This suckssssssss Quote
fanfootballtn Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 I went with Luck when I saw the pregame show footage. It looks really cold and I think the Titans are going to exotically smash mouth them today. Mariota is a Hawaii guy and said this is the coldest game he has ever played. Look at what the weather did to David Carr at KC. 1 Quote
fanfootballtn Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 OMG Mariota is having a brutal game -1.04 in my league and Luck with 14.80. Quote
weepaws Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 Can't believe how bad the Colts beat up the Vikings. God Bless and Merry Christmas Quote
