Bert Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 First off, I know this would be a miracle and will not happen but it is not dissimilar to Trump being elected. If the Patriots lost to the Texans this weekend would the NE meltdown be bigger than the liberal meltdown we have witnessed? 1
TD Ryan2 Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Not me.NE will be favored to win it again next year - when you're there at the end like NE is every year, you eventually figure out that Parcells was right, "just make the dance" and anything can happen... sometimes it's the best team, sometimes the hottest, sometimes the luckiest... and if HOU goes on to win it all? HOU is NE-South - it will only add to the legend of NE that even when they don't win, all the coaches, players that they groomed were able to go on and win it.
Patriotsfatboy1 Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 You might want to consider the more likely meltdown, which is the one that Goodell will have when he has to hand over the SB trophy to the Kraft and then the SB MVP to Brady.

They will Definetly be favored to win next year. I think they are already 3-0 in the division.
WhiteWonder Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Nope. And the funniest part is that most people on here are far more educated and invested in sports than they are in politics.... but for some reason there are so many on this board who need to pretend to be political experts
drobeski Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Bert's been melted down since that amazing 2001 run. All that's left is tear residue.
NewbieJr Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Since the Houston Texans aren't racist, childish, thin-skinned, unintelligent, lying scumbags who are in bed with Putin, I think it would be less of a meltdown. 1

Your sorry ass is already melting down and all I did was ask a question. We will have to put you suicide watch if it happens. Your meltdown will be epic.

This describes my DNDL team. #1 seed like 5 years in a row and no signs of slowing down. But only 2 titles. But anything can happen in the tournament. Yeah, Belichick and I, kindred souls, and Edjr is Rex Ryan. So I vote for the right wing posters here having the biggest meltdown when Trump is impeached within 9 months.
mobb_deep Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 What's the spread? I can't see Houston keeping it under 14.
Bert Posted January 13, 2017 Author Posted January 13, 2017 What's the spread? I can't see Houston keeping it under 14.I think NE wins by 24, spread is 16.

If the Patriots lost to the Texans this weekend would the NE meltdown be bigger than the liberal meltdown we have witnessed? The liberal meltdown has been epic, very entertaining. The NE meltdown would be on par, I just can't see it happening. I would enjoy it just as much though.

cbfalcon Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 If/when Trump gets impeached does that mean Hillary becomes president? My understanding of the order of succession is that I don't care who becomes president after he is impeached and goes on trial for treason. 1

Well, as long as it's not her then , it's all good. Nov 8 was a victory just for that reason. Next!
wiffleball Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 No way. If anybody's in bed with the Ruskies to gain an unfair advantage, it's the Cheatriots. They've proven that they have no compunction against gaining an advantage no matter what the outcome may be. And it's a widely known fact that Gazelle Bunion and all of Trump's wives and Exes are Soviet in-house plants. Or at least, have the resting IQ and personality of houseplants. ____________________________ Also, related question: Would you rank the Texans beating the Bostholes as a bigger or lesser surprise than Denver getting knocked out of the SuperBowl by the Jaxville Jagoffs? - That's a much more apt comparison than Texans and Trump. Though your comparison has empirical merit: Houston invented the fake boob and Trump IS a fake boob.

BronxNarrowback Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Don't think there will be a meltdown, Brady is on a mission after getting suspended. Think they will be pissed, like any good team that gets bounced from the playoffs, but they will brush themselves off and come back favorites again next year. Don't have any hard feelings for NE, i know a lot of people do because of their success, but being a Giants fan, i have no hard feelings. They remind me of the mid 90s to mid 00s Yankees…playoffs nearly every year, 5 chips in the process (4 for NE), lost 2….success breeds envy and jealousy.
SUXBNME Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 This makes Gary = Rod Marinelli More like Doug Blevins http://www.abilities.com/community/adaptive_sports-kicking-coach.html
patweisers44 Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 More like Doug Blevins http://www.abilities.com/community/adaptive_sports-kicking-coach.html Nah, Blevins seems somewhat successful at the coaching he does.

IGotWorms Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 So I vote for the right wing posters here having the biggest meltdown when Trump is impeached within 9 months. I doubt it, most of them have abandoned Trump already. Won't admit they voted for him and he ain't even in office yet! Pretty much just RP, drobs and Strike still throating his hog. Even strike will catch on soon

That ship has sailed for Obama, yet you're still throating his gerkin.
IGotWorms Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 At least Trump has a chance to do some good. That ship has sailed for Obama, yet you're still throating his gerkin. I am? He was a pretty good president. I have some criticisms like you would with anyone but by and large he's pretty good. However, it's time for him to move on. Wish we had a better (or at least serviceable) replacement, but that doesn't change the fact that Obama's time is up and rightly so.
