lickin_starfish 1,480 Posted August 10, 2017 Who is in charge of remembering birthdays of nieces and nephews, and sending birthday cards in the mail? The husband, wife, or both? I have never gotten a card in the mail that wasn't written by a female. I always thought that it was up to the broad to take care of that stuff.
titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted August 10, 2017 As a man, you are responsible for remembering cards for the following. Her birthday Your anniversary Mother's Day (her if you have kids, and your mom) Your mothers birthday That's pretty much it. The rest of them are on her, as I don't give a Fock.
Gladiators 1,904 Posted August 10, 2017 Agreed with the above. It's up to whoever gives a . I like my brother in law's kid, but I have no focking clue when his birthday is and I'll sleep fine if we don't send him a card/money. I know the month that my sister's kids were born and I'll ask my wife if she's got it covered. If she didn't take care of it, I'd check my work calendar and make sure to get a card/money out. Unfortunately, it appears my flight back to china is right in the no go zone. :sadbanana:

cbfalcon 824 Posted August 11, 2017 I take it as far as to tell my ex wife she is still responsible when I miss these type things. She tries to claim it's not her responsibility anymore....to which I say things like "that's fine. I guess my mom just doesn't get a present from me this year."...then I wait. And it usually ends up with the ex frustrated and handing me a card and a pen and saying "now all you have to do is sign it and remember to hand it to her Sunday." BunnysBastatrds 1,913 Posted August 11, 2017 I remember three things. My anniversary only because it's the day before Halloween. My daughters birthday. And the day I joined this place.
wiffleball 4,639 Posted August 11, 2017 One caution on TBBOM's post - I've had guy friends get the ol on Mother's Day - even if they didn't have kids! (of course, I've seen 'em get it if they DO something - and they don't have kids - you can't win) To be safe, if you've got a dog, cat, iguana or ficus in the house, best to do something. wiffleball 4,639 Posted August 11, 2017 Let's face it - Hallmark would be dead if it weren't for women. Of course, so would most reality TV and the Kardashians.
