Djgb13 2,338 Posted December 31, 2017 That was a huge missed holding call just now in the endzone. Exactly my point. Hell you clearly SAW the jersey (well pants) being pulled from the holding and they let it go just like they did when Miami player was about to sack the QB

Like letting their WR hold on a long run early? The call Richt was pissed about gets missed ever game of football that is played. How did the refs let Wisconsin get away with anything Miami didnt? Hell...we got a holding on a play where the guy jumped offsides forcing the o lineman to hold him.

Sho Nuff 719 Posted December 31, 2017 I agree with this entire post.Refs missed stuff...Wisconsin was the better team and Hornibrook played his best game.Glad I got to watch it with my Step Dad before we go back to Tennessee today.
IMMensaMind 459 Posted December 31, 2017 Wisconsin! Â I agree that the refs were terrible, but I also think that the play about which Richt should have been tossed was one of the more feeble/mild missed calls. Â The pulling on the jersey by the Badger DB was more egregious; the decision to reverse the call of down/dead ball into a fumble early in the game was awful; no way should that have been reversed, and a couple of others. Â One of the most striking things I noticed about this game was the length of time it took the refs to actually blow the focking whistle when the ball carrier's progress was stopped. The worst example of it was a completed pass to a WI WR in which 5 U players were literally holding him up attempting to strip the ball when the WR clearly wasn't going anywhere anymore. It took nearly 5 seconds to blow the whistle. Same thing happened in reverse, when MIA QB was stopped, and escorted backwards several yards. No whistle to stop play. Â Worst reffed game I've seen in a while. Â Wisconsin availed themselves well in that game, and I didn't believe that Hornibrook was capable of such a solid game. Kudos!
Sho Nuff 719 Posted December 31, 2017 Noticed that about the slow whistles several times... was strange. Â Wisconsin has some talent now at WR too

Still not convinced Hornibrook is the answer. He was so mediocre this season that one game isn't going to sway me at this point. Promising? Maybe, but I'm not holding my breath on this guy. He's just so uninspiring.

IMMensaMind 459 Posted December 31, 2017 And you are missing a key piece of info in your post. 32A. She's stopped eating - I really shouldn't put it that way, since what she's really done is decided to eat so pure that she's lost too much weight IMO - since she stopped playing serious volleyball and now only plays club, and I'm more than a bit concerned. Â She thinks she has a mild form of something called orthorexia. I can't get her to have a milkshake to save my life.

IMMensaMind 459 Posted December 31, 2017 Oh man. Sorry to hear. Hopefully she gets over it. Thanks - I'm told this is not that unusual in girls with her personality type (driven/athletic/blahblah), and often happens after their HS sports career (they look for something to replace it). She's 5'-9" about 118, and she's supposed to be more like 138 - or at least she was @ HS graduation. Â She doesn't look dangerously thin, but she's close enough - in Twiggy range - and I don't like it.

IMMensaMind 459 Posted December 31, 2017 Good luck with that, hope she finds some help. Pretty much the exact opposite problem of 99.9% of the UW Student Body. True dat. Â She's stubborn as hell. It's not getting worse - hit bottom @ ~113 - and I'm told it is usually a phase. It's been about a year and a half. Â I think one of the problems is that her friends seem more than a bit afraid to press the issue (I think because she appears to be the leader of their circle?) and hearing it from mom and dad hasn't done enough. Mike Honcho 4,033 Posted December 31, 2017 So...I came down to West Palm Beach spend the holidays & bday with family, particularly my brother who I don't get to see very much since we graduated college. His present to me was tix for us to the game and 2 days down here I come down with influenza...constantly running a fever, coughing all the time, just miserable. Â He went to the game and had a good time...but man, that's some sh!t ass luck.

I'm in Miami at the moment, so close by: took the fam on a cruise which got back this morning. Heading back shortly, and not looking forward to freezing my arse off in the slightest.
hdaddy 17 Posted December 31, 2017 Miami had their chances to control or get back into the game but our QB is so terribly inacurate. I didn't realize how bad the officiating was until I got home and read some articles and saw the refrenced twitter posts. The initial fumble was terrible and I saw that on the board. Other than that, I really couldn't make out as much as I could on tv. Wisconsin fans travel well and were fun to interact with. Class acts...I can't say the same for some Canes fans. Better team won
