Its just not a great movie. Unfortunately your taste sucks. Read less TMZ and pick up a book every once in a while.

Ed asked which of these is our favorits. I assumed this was supposed to be a list of great movies.

He could have put Howard the Duck on the list, and it wouldnt have bothered me.

It didnt bother me. I just dont think Braveheart deserves to be on a list of all time classics like The Godfather and Goodfellas. :dunno:

Not only was Braveheart a phenomenal movie - but we got Sophia Marceau and Catherine McCormick to boot.

considering all have either 5 or 6 votes, I'd say it's a pretty perfect list.

Seen it once, about 6 years ago. easily the last on that list for me.

I made the list and I honestly can't pick. For rewatchability it has to be Goodefellas, but that doesn't mean it's my favorite.

Same here. The Godfather was my choice, but that's a commitment to watch the whole thing.

Im saying I personally dont consider Braveheart to be on par with the others. I am not trolling or otherwise trying to trigger or bully you or Reality.

For some reason, Im drawn to movies/tv shows with narration.

Plus, its got everything. Good guys, bad guys, made guys, bald guys, chicks, crime, heists, violence and humor.

Haven't selected yet, haven't looked at results have to think about this one. Can easily remove Braveheart, Saving Private Ryan is next as the action scenes are all time, some story issues though.

Leaves three...

Went with BraveHeart.

That's an epic. The rest are movies I'll be a good ones. But we've seen variations on everything else in multiple movies before. 2000 World War 2 movies 900 prison movies Etc

Besides, when the king throws that fairy War counselor at the window is still one of my favorite scenes in any movie ever. Totally unexpected and freakin hysterical.

'

King: Tell me, what advice would you offer on the present situation?

Phillip: AAAAAHH Parachute!

But mafia films on the other hand. Sure it always goes bad but there sure is a ton of fun on the way. So for me, it comes down to the mafia movies.

When I was younger and all the way through my 20s, no doubt I considered Goodfellas the best. And no doubt The Godfather was by far the lamest of all 5. I probably told my parents 20+ times that The Godfather was just the slow old persons version of Goodfellas......But in recent years, I've found myself much more sucked in by the slow old person movie than I am by any of the others on the list. Now it seems that the scenes I enjoy the most are the subtle ones that I'd have previously wanted to skip.

So I voted for The Godfather as my favorite, even though I'd have put it dead last 5 years ago.

This is a great take.

The Godfather has always been my #1 for a couple of reasons,I read the book when I was a young man(phenomenal) and grew up with a father who took me to see this film when I 10 years old and to this day watches it every time it's on and passed that on to me.I'd never thought about in the way you described but your comparison to Goodfellas makes great sense. For me Goodfellas was if you will an extension of The Godfather in that The Godfather 1 & 2 took place in a different era as we see and as mentioned in the new documentary The Godfather Legacy the story of a family and the lengths gone to to protect that family.Goodfellas which I do love is what the mob evolves into and we get to visit the world of the soldiers and the like.

Just my .02

Godfathers 1&2 are are the gold standard for mob movies. I love them and can watch them anytime theyre on.

Goodfellas is just a little more entertaining to me now.

Did you know Coppola released a VHS set in the 80's with both films shown in chronological order and cut scenes added back in?The viewer even gets to see Hyman Roth as a very young man and the first time he meets Don Corleone. Why it was never released on DVD is beyond me as it's a great watch.

Godfather 1 and 2 could not have ever been too long for me.

I'd have watched them for 12 hours;

I'm such a damn diehard that after the ending to The Sopranos I was hoping that maybe Vincent(Godfather III) would move the Corleone family back to NY and end up in a war with The Sopranos in NJ for a whole new film/series then Gandolfini passes away. :(

Great list of movies for this poll. I took Goodfellas and one reason is it is based on real people and real events. The acting is terrific and the soundtrack is awesome!

That's one of the things I loved about it,it was a great chess match and no move and/or detail was overlooked by Coppola.
