ugh!

And that play, it wouldn't have happened if Dak wasn't parked where he was, didn't seem deep enough in the backfield for some reason. Why the hell weren't we running anyway?

See......this is the kind of that happens when you don't do what you should do.

Tonight's game made my season!  Anything they do from here on out is pure gravy.

One of the greatest wins in Dallas Cowboy history, and Dak was superb!

Cowboys @ 49ers

Dak Prescott sucked, didn't rise to the occasion, made bad mistakes, hurts his legacy

Tony Pollard went down & out with a high ankle sprain. This to a large degree sealed the Cowboys fate. He probably loses money in the process.

Dalton Schultz sucked, his lazy, stupid plays cost us.

Treyvon Diggs may have ball skills but is pretty much a pansy. Even an average player would have become a legend with a decent hit on Kittle. Treyvon showed us his true stripes and it's costing him respect and money. He and Schultz can move on as far as i'm concerned.

Cowboys followers.

What do you think your TE situation will look like next year? I have Jake Ferguson as a stash on my dynasty team.

Beating an 8-9 Bucs team was one of the greatest wins in Cowboys history?

“Anybody who thinks I won’t take a chance, has misread the tea leaves. But I do think longer term,” Jones said. “And I’m real hesitant to bet it all for a year. There’s a lot of things that can happen for that year. In essence, we’re seeing a couple of teams that have had some real success putting it all out there and paying for it later, in Philadelphia and Los Angeles.”

Cowboys clear roughly $30M in cap space with huge move | Yardbarker

A savvy financial move allows Dallas to potentially make waves this offseason.

Per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Cowboys announced they created roughly $30M in cap space by restructuring the contracts of quarterback Dak Prescott and left guard Zack Martin.

The #Cowboys cleared roughly $30 million in cap space by restructuring the contracts of Dak Prescott and Zack Martin, per the team.

— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) March 10, 2023

According to ESPN's Todd Archer, Dalllas revised the contracts by turning $29M of Prescott's 2023 salary into a bonus and $12M of Martin's salary into a bonus, too.

After the move, the Cowboys are $14.8M under the cap, per OverTheCap. The new financial freedom opens a wide range of possibilities.

Dallas can sign an offensive playmaker in free agency like former Pro Bowl WRs JuJu Smith-Schuster, Odell Beckham Jr. and Adam Thielen. Each would bolster its receiving corps, which ranked 18th in yards last season.

The Cowboys can retain some of the core pieces that steered them to consecutive 12-win seasons for the first time in 27 years.

Safety Donovan Wilson and linebacker Leighton Vander Esch are free agents they should consider re-signing. Wilson led the team in tackles (101), while Vander Esch was second in tackles (90).

CeeDee Lamb, who accumulated a career-high 1,359 receiving yards, is due for a fifth-year option worth $19.7M. The Cowboys can feel more comfortable using it because they have more financial flexibility.

The Cowboys likely need more than the cleared cap space to trade for Jalen Ramsey or DeAndre Hopkins. Per OTC, both have more than $30M due on their contracts.

But the move shows the Cowboys believe they're a championship contender, willing to acquire the upgrades required for a deep run.

Noah Brown - Texans

Luke Gifford - Titans

Conner McGovern - Bills

Tony Pollard - Franchise Tag

Leighton Vander Esch - signed 2 year deal

Donovan Wlison - signed 3 year deal

No surprises so far, except maybe that they didnt match Brown's one year deal.

Halleluhah, FINALLY!

I honestly didn't think they'd ever really do it. Jerry must be losing control of the room - this was def not his call..... How anyone thought caving into his holdout and giving him $100m was a great idea is beyong me................... Now, go draft a new RB in the middle rounds.

Amari >>> Cooks.  Not a great trade, imho. Cooks will disappear for games at a time just like Amari did.

I have to think this is a Jerry signing.

He was disgruntled in Hou, you cant judge it by that.  And a 5th this year (we have 3) and a sixth next year is low cost/risk.  Great trade.

Considering the minimal cost and the fact HOU is paying part of his salary still - agreed, great trade all the way around.

This puts the ODB talk to bed. Sounding like his rehab didn't go as planned - his lateral movement is shiit they're saying.

Yeah, obviously I'm in the minority.  It's not just the draft picks, he'll turn 30 in September and they'll be paying him 12 million which seems ok but leaves them with little (1.5 million ish) cap space going into the draft.  I stand by my previous post but will stipulate he'll be fairly productive....80/1050/6 is what you're getting if he plays a full season.

I read it in a couple of places but its a moot point since he's restructured his contract. $8 million is now a signing bonus making his salary this year $4 million not $12 million.

That changes the complexion.

Let this prove that teams are smarter than stupid (me) fans.
