Djgb13 2,338 Posted October 30, 2018 I dont ever order anything off the tv. Usually you wait a week or two after it comes out on tv and you can get it at Walmart without having to pay shipping and handling

wiffleball 4,639 Posted October 30, 2018 Got a friend who's really into her one pot. So I read up on them. They are pretty much vastly overrated from what I've read. Specifically, if it says that potatoes take 10 to 12 minutes, that's the time it takes after the one reaches pressure. Which can take as much as another 10 minutes. And then you have to let the whole thing settle down afterward. So suddenly, year 10 minute potatoes take half an hour.

fricker66 91 Posted October 31, 2018 Sharp knife. Cutting board. Pot or pan. As far as gadgetry, an ice cream scoop has a lot of uses (see, e.g., Bill Murray in Stripes), as does a melonballer.

seafoam1 1,879 Posted October 31, 2018 Instant pots are incredible and useful. Wife made many great things in it. Yeah for sure. My girlfriend's mom gave her and Instant Pot and it sat in our living room for about a month as we grouped it in with donation items because we thought, why would you want this? We both like to cook. Why this though? But then we just decided to try it. Freaking awesome. Pressure cooker madness.
