RLLD 3,374 Posted December 3, 2018 There's a lot to this. The world is starting to see Trump's winning ways and they want some of that for themselves. You see this really emphatically in the military, strong leaders resonate for most people. Looking back in time Patton would be vilified today, and even in his time he took some blows, but thank god almighty he existed for us...the recently deceased Bush was a war hero, grizzled veteran of politics, tough but a really polite guy...and was seen as weak....even though he was not. People crave leadership, and in the absence of leadership they will gravitate toward whatever seems to exude it, for better or worse....

Baker Boy 1,446 Posted December 3, 2018 Now half this country whines about wanting more bathrooms for people that haven't decided what sex they want to be today. Thank you Obama. The Obama White House is giving ISIS a 45 minute warning before bombing their oil tankers by dropping leaflets advising potential jihadists to flee before air strikes in Syria. “Get out of your trucks now, and run away from them. Warning: air strikes are coming. Oil trucks will be destroyed. Get away from your oil trucks immediately. Do not risk your life,” the leaflet reads. The leaflet drops are justified under the premise that the oil tanker drivers might be civilians and not ISIS recruits, although it’s an explanation that doesn’t wash with critics. https://www.infowars.com/white-house-gave-isis-45-minute-warning-before-bombing-oil-tankers/

It was Assad who lose his nerve in the face of the Afghan and Iraqi conflicts, was pretty sure he was next, released all his jihadi prisoners to go into Iraq and kill Americans, and when they came back to roost on him it was fully on....hard to blame Obama for having to pretend to hit the Jihadi's when all he really wanted was for them to assr@pe Assad....mainly because he focking deserved it
JustinCharge 2,397 Posted December 4, 2018 https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/nov/24/french-gilets-jaunes-protests-turn-violent-on-the-streets-of-paris The interior minister, Christophe Castaner, said around 8,000 gilets jauneshad gathered in the city by midday on Saturday, 5,000 of them on the Champs Élysées. He claimed that responsibility for the violence lay with the far-right leader Marine Le Pen. “Marine Le Pen urged people to come to the Champs Élysées, and there are members of the ultra-right putting up barriers,” Castaner said. He described the rioters as “seditious”. He said: “They have responded to Marine Le Pen’s call and want to take the institutions of state. We want people to be responsible. “The right to demonstrate is a fundamental right and we will protect that, but we cannot protect those carried away by violence … those who only want to protest should pull back from this violence and denounce it.” In response Le Pen, head of the far-right Rassemblement National, previously known as the Front National, told the news channel BFM TV that the accusations were unjust. She blamed the violence on “a few rioters”. “Why did Mr Castaner let these people on to the Champs Élysées? He is responsible. It’s a strategy of tension,” she said. Le Pen accused the minister of trying to discredit the gilets jaunes movement.

Nationalism is painted as the evil in our world, yet tribalism is just fine....no it does NOT make any sense at all, but leftists positions are malleable. Leftists are nationalists. Its just that they are nationalists when it comes to Russia. If Trump allowed 50,000 Russians into the country and settled them around Maxine Waters' house, you would hear democrats scream that we need a border wall with Russia. Right across the ocean if need be. Your mistake is that you accept the premise. When democrats state "they are not nationalists" they are lying. Its a lie to claim the high ground, and they win when you accept and repeat the lie. Nationalism is all about certain political parties favoring some nations and rejecting others. Don't get confused. I like your response, but the left really doesn't hold any position other than wanting control. They try to appeal to the larger group in terms of numbers. Then they work to figure out how they want to make their voters dependent on government.
