Mike FF Today 608 Posted December 14, 2018 Doug has updated his dynasty rankings as the regular season winds down and we look forward to 2019. Sounds like he's got another update planned for after the Super Bowl.
Frozenbeernuts 1,652 Posted December 15, 2018 I have been critical of this site's rankings of Hill. 5 is still too low. Best fantasy qb in the league combined with the most dangerous receiver in the league. Hill is number

Kopy 493 Posted December 15, 2018 Who would you rather have as a backup QB? I ask because you have them at 27,28,29. So all pretty much the same. Any sort of separation if you yourself had to pick only 1? 27, Andy Dalton. Is the oldest. Signed through 2020, but can be cut in either year with no penalties. With a new coach, could be a good team. New coach might want his own rebuild to though. And if they stay with Lewis, yuck. 28, Ryan Tannenhill. Signed through 2020. Can't be cut next year, could be cut the year after. Does show flashes of potential, and seems like he's the one with upside. But on crappy teams, and always seems injured. Or 29, Teddy Bridgewater. The youngest by quit a bit. Seemed to be improving every season until a devastating injury. Will be a FA this year, not guaranteed to get a starting gig anywheres. (I wouldn't have even thought to keep him, but then I saw your rankings). I realize it's like licking the clean end of a turd here. (It's still a turd). But I gotta cut 2 out of the 3 after week 16, so I can activate my I.R. guys.

But I gotta cut 2 out of the 3 after week 16, so I can activate my I.R. guys. I would keep Dalton. He's a serviceable starter most of the time and he has some decent targets and a decent ground game. I would never, ever want to rely on Ryan Tannehill, even for a week, and Bridgewater is coming off a major injury, and has an unclear future. In an nutshell, none of these guys are going to take off and be the 2nd coming of Peyton Manning as a fantasy QB. What you want out of these guys is a halfway reliable fill in when your starer is out for a short period of time. I feel like you get that from Dalton a good bit more than the others. That said, it may not be a bad idea to try and upgrade you back up QB.
Vikings4ever 496 Posted December 15, 2018 Kinda surprised Dak is so low. He's been on the border between QB1/QB2 all three years, he's young, he's the established starter, the Cowboys have shown a commitment to building around him, and he has the ability to run without it being the focus of his game (eg Lamar Jackson). He may not have the theoretical upside of some others, but he looks to be a solid (if perhaps unspectacular) building block of a team for years to come. Kopy 493 Posted December 15, 2018 Thanks pole. Those were my Initial thoughts also. Then I saw all 3 lumped together in his rankings and it gave me pause. Then I looked up the contracts and noticed Dalton can be cut at any time starting 2019, with no cap penalties and my mind really started to wonder. Yeah, I'm definitely over thinking things here.
