I don't disagree with you guys really, in so much as she got where she was by using a point of advantage. Where we differ is that you guys care and I don't. My reasoning is because when other people are getting jobs from other forms of advantage, they're aren't necessarily "perfect for that job", but a "thanks for getting this person in the door". Also, while blowing someone is an advantage that only a specific group of people would benefit from, being a relative of someone is the same thing, in that they have an advantage that even less people have.

 

In short, I don't care how you got your job, I care about whether you're doing your job at the best it can be done. If not, then that person has to go. If there are people that believe you're getting your job done by the best standard possible, then others have to look elsewhere for different or better results. Does it suck? Sure, but how many people get where they are on completely their own steam. I'm willing to bet that the number is unsatisfying low.

Being the relative of someone is a privilege (or advantage), that almost no one has. It's even more of an advantage than sex. At least with sex, about half the country has the same shot where as only about a small handful are related.

 

My job as a parent is to be my son's roll model. It's not Donald Trump's nor is it Bill Clinton's. If I had a daughter, it's my job as a parent to be her roll model. It's not Hillary Clinton's or Kamala Harris'. So you and I are in total agreement there. The people who are complain about that, are people I like to call "Democrats". People who are always finding someone else to blame rather than looking in the mirror.
