I just want a moderate Democrat that doesn't play identity politics. They will have my vote in '20.

And does this democrat also ride a unicorn?

Ha, I know. Not the way the party is headed. I will most likely throw my vote away on 3rd party again.

$50 says you’re voting democrat either way. You’re attempting to pander to the righties here by saying “I’m not one of the crazy ones” it doesn’t matter who they roll out, they can count on your vote.

I've never voted Democrat for President in my life. Last year I voted third party. I would say I am far from a lock to vote Dem this time around, even though I continue to move left on most issues.

I don’t see how anyone can even consider a Democrat in 2020 if you love America. The way they dragged Kav threw the mud, the handling of the Russian investigation, the hypocrisy. Even if they do put up someone who appears to be moderate it’s just a wolf in sheep’s clothing. They’ve made it very clear what they want to turn America into.

Last election I wanted Trump to win because I knew it would be funny and I love nihilism. I wanted the controversy. Now that we have it, I want Democrat to win 2020 for the same reason. The upheavel from the vocal right will be huge. It will be the same thing as the crazies freaking out about Trump only the conservative version of it rather than the liberal. I don’t give a flip about the issues, I just like seeing outrage both fake and real.

The alternative is Trump or 3rd party, so I am keeping options open. The only guarantee is that I won't vote Trump. There are reasonable, moderate Dems out there. So far, none are running. As far as I can see, they are just trying to prove which one is the biggest SJW.

First, you must understand the roots of the democratic party are in an organization known as Tammany Hall.  What was Tammany Hall?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tammany_Hall

Tammany Hall, also known as the Society of St. Tammany, the Sons of St. Tammany, or the Columbian Order, was a New York City political organization founded in 1786 and incorporated on May 12, 1789, as the Tammany Society. It was the Democratic Party political machine that played a major role in controlling New York City and New York State politics and helping immigrants, most notably the Irish, rise in American politics from the 1790s to the 1960s.

Tammany Hall was a political machine.  They were powered by the growing immigrant community in New York City.  They protected and defended the rights of immigrants to win votes.  When elected, they quietly cut through red tape and legislative roadblocks to get immigrants jobs and win the favor of the business elites.  So they had a two-pronged core of immigrants and business leaders.

Tammany Hall arguably lost influence as the demographics of the nation changed from a rural one to an urban one.  When America was mostly a rural nation, the tactics wielded by Tammany Hall were only effective in very localized areas with large urban populations like New York City.  Once America had large urban centers coast-to-coast, Tammany hall was phased out and usurped by the national Democratic party bosses who employed the exact same tactics on a national scale.  FDR led the charge to nationalize the effort.

Originally, Tammany Hall drew power from a large Irish Catholic immigrant population, which drove the democratic party from the early 18th century all the way up to JFK.  But once immigrant demographics shifted towards latinos and nonwhites, the immigrant tactics had to shift as well.

But the democratic party has always been an immigrant party first and foremost.  To kill the democratic party, you build the wall and make it harder to immigrate to America.

With the current crop of candidates crapping the bed, a lot of people are keeping their powder dry for Biden. Right now, he does look like the adult in the room.

You know, I have to agree. How could anybody go with the Democrats on healthcare when the Republicans have such a great plan?

they had the grandpa from duck dynasty on Fox business News the other day as there rather than expert on healthcare. You know the guy, he's heard of looks like hillbilly gandalf. Boys hes a smart Republican!

Because we watch Trumpland TV so you don’t have to, today we watched Duck Dynastyemperor Phil Robertson poo-poo the idea of government-provided health care because, in his estimation, there is no need for medical services in the physical world. After all, according to Robertson, he’s guaranteed “eternal health care” given to him by God.

I already have health care. It’s given to me by God. Eternal health care. I’m guaranteed to be raised from the dead. I have life and immortality given to me by God through Jesus Christ... The temporary reprieve is not worth it. I'm telling [Kamala Harris], I have eternal health care, and it's free! Doctors can give you a little temporary reprieve, but they cannot save you from physical death. The doctors who treat you, they die, too.

Fox Business Network host Neil Cavuto, to his credit, pushed back by noting that “people need health care.”

“I didn’t have health care for 50 years,” Robertson replied. And he apparently doesn’t see much see use for it now, either.

--------

The fact that Fox business even booked this guy says everything. Even Neil cavuto just stared at him like what the fuuck? 😂

12% of Americans support Medicare for all if it means they lose their private plans.

Repubs' plan is go back to private health care instead of universal.

If by private, you mean your personal relationship with your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ... LOL

Private health care gone? It would take 15 years to bring back the infrastructure to restore private health care companies once the government healthcare fails in their attempt to run the  system.

What a bunch of fvcking noodle-brains for them to want to control every aspect of freedom. What a fvcking bunch of dlcks that only care about setting policy so they personally can run it at the expense of the people who will be toiling at work day and night so they can get healthcare based upon government judgement of whether it's worth it or not. Is the patient beyond their life expectancy date? Does a brain scan cost more than what the government rules say is worthy of getting one for someone with brain cancer?

Of course, half the population will not want to work because they won't need to. They will just want to live off of government handouts.

Kiss your freedom gone if the left takes things over. Anything at all. They feel they are the only ones that have the ability to make you happy. You, are not capable to do it for yourself.
