I agree.  I was shocked they didn't get Corbin. But they don't want to be over that cap again. So they say.

Hearing rumors that Cole wants to go home to the west coast.  It could be posturing, who knows.

Angels would be the spot I guess.

Love it. If I had known it would have been a day game I would have sprung for the tickets.

Do the Angels have any money?   My guess would be San Fran or Seattle.

Sure, but both LA teams seem tapped out.

Angels approaching 200M for 2020.

Dodgers at 190M.

The Angels will be so much better off when they get Pujols off the books...

They have to do something. Trout is being wasted. It's worse than what happened with Mattingly. At least the Yankees tried and Trout is already an all time great.

Seriously.  The dude can barely move.  I heard his lifetime batting avg dipped under .300 at the end of this season, but it looks like he brought it back up.

Yanks wasting opportunities against this guy. Severino has to hold, should be in their bullpen again with this pitch count.

Good grief, Gardner doing his best Nelson Cruz impersonation.

He hasn't played left in a while.

91mph sliders - that's just nasty.

The speed paradigm has shifted by about 6-7 mph. 97 just isn't extraordinarily anymore. Everyone can heat it up.  Waiting for a team willing to sign some junk dealers.

I don't think they make them anymore.

Astros left a bunch on early as well but it worked out.  I like that the Astros have scored off the Yankees bullpen 2 games in a row.

This sucks. Yanks have gotten 3 well pitched games and one win. Must win game 4 or it's over.  Hoping for a rainout. Houston is relentless

As a long suffering Astros fan I find it hard to believe how good this team is.

The weather situation is going to make a great serious more interesting.

Do you think resetting your bullpen is better than not facing the non 4th starter Astros tomorrow?

I'll take the day off and get an extra start out of a starter. It's all hands on deck either way. Must win.

I don't think you understand.

I'm a Rangers fan. We barely have guys who throw 91 mph fastballs.. To see a 91 mph slider is out of this world to me.

I don't.  Even the Nats sucky relievers hit 98.  As did the Dodgers & Cardinals. T&Ps for the Rangers.

But yeah a 91mph slider is unreal. As is a 88mph changeup. Different game.

Can we still call the new Yankees Stadium, "new"?

In any event, seeing postseason games in the new park just isn't the same. Might as well be in Cleveland - she's lost her mystique, her pizzazz, her Holy Grailness.

Even when my team wasn't in it (which has been most of my life) there was something special and captivating about watching October baseball in old Yankee Stadium.

I think it's why I have a soft spot and (secretly) pull for the Lions. They are to football what my Rangers are to baseball. :(

Ha, for real? :D

WTF do those mofos get that kind of jack? I'm sure it's expensive as hell to go a game there.

When you don't have to drive there and pay for parking it's a lot cheaper. People give their tickets up to a lot of the games. It's 40 bucks just to park. So they'll sell one of their games on stubhub or whatever.

Agreed.  Glad I was able to see a few games at the old one.
