Who exactly are the no names on the Yankees?

Clint Frazier? 5th overall pick. Star in the making.

Urshela? He's been around a few years. Defensive specialist who has average hitting?

Nobody on this Yankees team is a "no name". It's odd that Yankee fans consider their roster no names if Stanton and Judge are out :dunno:

Fully aware. Who are the no names? Maybin? A 10 year vet who's adequate as a sub?

Texas might have the worst pitching staff I've ever seen. Opposing teams are hitting .274 against!

And with all this, they're still 2nd in Division...... Tells you how focking gawd awful the West is.

Seattle and Baltimore are fighting them for it, but yeah, they aren't good either...

Getting to play the Orioles, Mariners and Royals 11 times (at the moment) in May will go that for you...

agreed. When you're still trotting out DJ LeMaheiu who is and has been one of the better hitters in the game the last few years, Gleybar Torres, Gary Sanchez, Hicks has been back.... CC is still there along with Domingo pitching great all season, still a great bullpen, and the ever professional Brett Gardner.... it makes me vomit a little when I hear local sports talk guys saying the Yankees are winning with a AAA club. . Get real, please.

Not just saying this because he's hit 2 bombs today but if the Rays had kept Wilson Ramos, I would feel so much better about this team. Our pen has been a little shaky lately but not too worried there. (Kimbrel?)

Need Glasnow back healthy and okay and a trio of Snell, Morton and Glasnow plus the "openers" works well. Would like to see them make a move for Kuechel after he is no longer attached to a draft pick compensation. Let them go to one "opener" of Stanek followed immediately by Chirinos.

The problem is the lineup. Top to bottom, the Rays have had guys step up at the right time when others are slumping and not a lot of times when the entire lineup is slumping but outside of Meadows, Pham and maybe Outlaw with his speed, who scares opposing pitchers?

Yep. People who don't know baseball believe this is a "no name" team.

Well HT is the one calling it a "no name" team, so it does make sense...

I would destroy any of you in a baseball debate. Half

of you wouldn't know Ron Bloomberg from Judy Bloom.

Speaking of drinking, in the infamous Coba Cabana incident , although Billy Martin got the blame, it was actually Hank Bauer that instigated the fight.

The gutty, gritty Yankees win another series. Now the Bostons roll in for a long weekend series. Should be fun.

Funny, you didn't mention how "gutty" and "gritty" they were when the Padres beat them yesterday...  Only stating something when they win proves that you are a "fair-weather fan"...

How about the complete collapse of Seattle? They had the best record in the AL at one time.

Lol. Triggered. Lighten up, the Braves were still the team of the first half of the 90's. Until the Yankees came along!

I’m not defending HT, who is indeed annoying.  However, I will say that he could have said gritty about yesterday’s loss too.  Down 4-0 in the first and 5-1 later, then got to 5-4 and had plenty of chances to tie it.  Not a bad loss at all.

"Gutty" and "gritty". "Castoffs" and "no names". I think "farmhands" was another. yet 3rd highest payroll in baseball.

Rejects and back benchers too. Love this team.

Maybe, but he does only say something when they win, never when they lose...

I'm actually reading a book right now about 1985 NY Baseball. "Doc, Donnie, The Kid and Billy Brawl". I loved those 80's Yankee teams. Pagliarulo was a favorite. I was glad when he got a ring with the Twins.

So HT? Did the Yankees overpay for the "no names", or is the GM the greatest ever?

My favorite is how he posted on April 5 and not again until April 25...  I guess that was when they start to win more than they lost...

I think that there might have been a week away from the board due to a bet, but still, what about the other 13 days of "gritty" and "gutty" play?

Yankees are loaded. Not sure where the bs about no names came from.

I'm not a big fan of Cashman. Getting David Justice in 2000 was great, but he just sucks at pitching. The Kevin Brown signing, Carl Pavano, not getting Randy Johnson at the trade deadline in 2004. The list is long. But he seems to have made the right moves the last few years. I don't give any credit for 2009. That was an outright purchase. 2000 is, to me, his only championship. 98 and 99 were still Gene Michaels teams. Bob Watson rode his coat tails as well

Not bad for the third highest payroll team of nobody's and castoffs and farmhands etc etc.

Let's see, Severino, Gregorious, Judge, Stanton, Paxton, Andujar (done) Sanchez, Betances, Bird.  I'm probably forgetting some. All have missed huge chunks of time and that doesn't seem to matter. OK haters gonna hate. Used to it.
