My local has flipped from a drinking bar with no food to a full fledged restaurant now. I can't believe I bring my kids there considering what used to happen there at one time. dain11279 926 Posted February 26, 2019 Are you looking more into a sports bar/restaurant kinda place or a sh1thole like the Double Deuce? A sports bar you'll have to invest more time and money into but you'll reap more financially. Both places will give you headaches. A few tips: Do not allow employees to use their phones unless of emergency. Close at midnight. Even on the weekends. Try to make your place into a day drinking place more then anything. Mingle with customers as much as possible. If possible, hire hot chicks. Does your state have a gambling game in the bars? Get it if they do. NYS has Quick Draw which is a lot like keno.
